Sorry if this has been talked to death...but I havent seen it anywhere....
It would appear at this point (but could change as the season develops) that Locke sure is exhibiting characteristics of Fiver from Watership Down (the book that Sawyer was seen reading in a previous episode). In the novel, Fiver had visions and a sixth sense quality. In the show thus far, Locke seems to have it as well. Fiver was in tune with the land and the rabbit "god". Locke seems to have this ability as well....the Island being "god-like".
Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone interested in following that line of thought or for those who hadnt picked up on that.
This latest episode..."Deus Ex Machina"...was incredible. Locke's character is so well written!!!
