View Full Version : EZsupporters will loose their money!!!!
I have read that operators are moving to phpbb. All the people who have paid for ezSupporter will loose what they have paid for.
Nice job.

Quit complaining. You haven't paid for anything.
Those who do, do it to support this board and the decisions it makes. The new board will be free, so no money is lost.

Ihorg, you don't have the whole story so shut up. You have no idea what we're working on doing.
And we're doing what we're doing to improve the board and the service. If this is something that you find offensive, I'll understand if you leave.
Please stay polite. I'm talking about a legitimate question.
Will the ezSupporter loose their advantages with the new setup ?
I think they will. Well, if it is not true, then correct me.

Who really cares?

People who have global accounts and post elsewhere do NOT "lose" any money. The most inconvenience a non supporter will face is having to read ezboard ads, which ezsupporters will NOT have to do.

seeing as the mods apparently can't be civil in their responses-
if this is the only board you are looking to post on with your ezsupporter account then, yes, you will lose your money when they switch.

I'm signed up through May 06. If we move before then, I'll either waste those couple of bucks, or find something else to check out on ezboard. Everybody can do the same. If you want to support this board today, buy 6months ezsupporter.

Don't buy ezsupporter if it bothers you that much.

I don't consider my money lost. If it helps keep this board operational in the interim I see it as funds well spent.

I guess just another reason to be wary of purchasing anything online?

Here are 2 boards that are totally free
LFF- LostFanForum
www.lostfanforum.com/lforums/ (http://www.lostfanforum.com/lforums/)
LFX- Lost Fanatics
lostfanatics.forumup.org/...stfanatics (http://lostfanatics.forumup.org/index.php?mforum=lostfanatics)
you will have to join both boards to get in them but it's really easy
and here is a 3rd one that you don't have to join to get into. It's a nice new board
Lost Message Boards-

ezSupporters will not "loose" their money if and when this board moves, because there is a whole universe of boards out there that discuss all manner of interesting and entertaining topics. Two of my reccomendations: The Big White Taxi Service (not for the squeamish or conservative) and Survivor Sucks, for people who really really like to talk about TV. I frequent three boards including this one, and stop by several others on occasion to see what's up and post my two cents worth when I feel like it. So don't tell me I'm going to lose my money when I've already milked it for all it's worth.
Teen F,
Thanks for posting about your experiences. That's what many of us have been trying to say all along. Nothing will be lost. EZBoards have somewhere in the neighborhood of 9000+ boards. Surely someone can find a board that piques their interest with that much diversity.
As for me, there are about half a dozen boards I visit so, like you, EZ-Supporter has already paid for itself. Anything that happens in the future in regard to this board is irrelevant. EZ-Supporter helps any and all EZBoards you visit, not just this one.

Very good questions. The answer is: it isn't known yet - on either question. That translates to probably not very soon. The admins and mods are really trying to work through everything and find the easiest solution.
