Call me crazy but I liked last nites ep.
I am wondering if anyone else thinks "they" are not the "others"....could "they" be were Ethan came from?
If this is being discussed elsewhere I apologize....just point me in the right direction.

I think both "They" and "The Others" are one and the same.

Earlier, I thought it would be kind of odd if the tail-section survivors actually refered to this mystery group as "The Others". The only reason the main survivors refer to them as that is because that's what Danielle told them. If the tail-section survivors started saying that, it would have meant Danielle either found them or "The Others" actually call themselves that.

it would be an interesting turn if the others turned out to be a group of feral children

Yes I think the legs were a group of teens

Diamond, you have peaked my curiosity as well regarding the name. I pray it is not a blooper, hopefully we will find out soon. I must say, "the others" scare the bejesus out of me...

The teddy bear had a white strap wrapped around it's leg twice. But it wasn't attached to the kid's leg. The kid with the teddy bear had something around both ankles. Looked to me like maybe the top of a sock for lack of anything better to call it. By the way the bear was dangling by a rope that the kid was carrying.

I have no idea what's going on - are Nathan and Goodwin both Others. Goodwin says they are in a better place and that Nathan wasn't on the list because he was not a good person, therefore the Others only take people who are pure of heart, such as children, and they attempted to take Mr. Eko but he killed the attacker.

If Nathan wasn't an other, why did he go into the Jungle for 2 hours, damn that is a long number 2!!!!

Having watched the entire first season within a couple of days, I noticed that the middle section survivors used the term "the others" a lot to refer to people that were off camera-but from the plane. As in, "so and so is with the others" and "what do the others say?" etc. Could be no signifigance to this-just normal use of the English language-or it could deliberately signify the eventual fate of everyone. Just a thought.

The kid walking with the teddy bear has to be the girl that were saved by ana-lucia on beach, the boy dropped it next to her on the beach. exactly the same teddy bear...

Someone could have taken the bear or it could be another bear. Why would it lood so old and dirty is so short a time.

I like the orinial posters idea that Ethan could very well be another infiltrator who was also originally on the island, too. Goodwin said he was "bad". How did he know? Ethan and Nathan were too similar to ignore. The Oceanic web site pegs Ethan as "other man", though.
