Between Sawyer's "3 years is enough to get over anyone" line and Kate's dramatically blowing hair, I fear the rhombus, like so many of the zombies around here, is rising again. What do you hope for, and why?

In the real world, Sawyer and Juliet should be solid after 3 years together. They were so much the perfect match. I think the biggest strength of Lost is the strong characters, and I'd personally hope for some character development on Sawyer's part that he's gotten over Kate. But, this is Lost. I think the TFH (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45332) has just made a huge comeback. Sigh.

It's better than "which dillhole is Sun cheating on Jin with now".

I agree. Or at least, if Kate was someone he had built a very solid partnership with, and then he sacrificed himself to get her off--but Kate spent most of her time puppydogging around after Jack, and I just don't see that 3 years on this Sawyer who's melted into leadership should find that appealing. Time for some boring grownup relationships where people are together, it's okay, and they have other stuff on the island to worry about than their prom date.

Lord, Sun is uuunfaaaaaithfuuul is right behind the triangle in plotlines I'd like to never see again. I want Sun to be kicking Ben's ass and rearranging the island until it delivers Jin.

I do want to point out that this Triangle From Hell (rhombus? pffft), which is or course the major Triangle From Hell, actually includes not only Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Juliet, but also includes Ben.
How can anybody not love the insanity of that?
At any rate, i voted 'Other', because none of your choices were effusive enough in praise for the genius known as the Triangle From Hell. :heartpump

When I looked at it from Sawyer's side of Sawyer/Juliet I bought it, but when I look at it from Juliet's side, I don't. They don't look good together, they don't have chemistry together, and it's just feels like they were the last of their breed and just got together cause nothing better was on offer.
On the good side, I think it's a positive character development for Sawyer, because it shows him he doesn't need Kate. The only thing Kate had going for her with Sawyer was she was his first love, otherwise he did all the giving and she did all the taking. Falling in love with Juliet shows Sawyer he doesn't need Kate or to put up with her garbage. He can move on and love someone else and be happy.
I think it will play out with Sawyer choosing Juliet. He has with her a woman that doesn't mind sleeping with him all night and doesn't act like Sawyer's bed in a litter box and once she does her business she can't wait to get away from it. She really has nothing to offer Sawyer. He's evolved way beyond her.
Unfortunately, I think Big Ben finds his way to the seventies and when he finds out about Sawyer/Juliet he tries to kill Sawyer but Juliet dies saving Sawyer.
In regards to Jack and Kate have they had one decent moment since they became an official couple? Jack proposed to Kate not out of love, but because Hurley said he wasn't supposed to raise Aaron and he wanted to prove he had what it takes. He overheard one innocuous comment while Kate was on the phone and became paranoid and suspicious. Kate learns Jack has a substance abuse problem, instead of urging him to get some help and standing by him, she throws him out and wants nothing to do with him. And their latest rut was straight out of an episode of Tales from the Darkside.
Sawyer and Kate: she only wanted to sleep with him if he was about to be killed or she was upset Jack was with another woman and she wanted to use him to make herself feel better. She constantly put Jack before him.

JINH - I agree with all of your post except the bit about Sawyer and Juliet not looking good together, and I love the bit about Kate using Sawyer's bed as a litter box. How appropriate !
As soon as I saw Kate pacing around on that porch (why did she end up in the house opposite Sawyer and Juliet !) I got that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach ! And I fear that she will get "into his head" again. What a useless waste of time. Samson has met his Delilah once more. *sigh*

I never expected Juliet and Sawyer to end up together, it would probably have never happened if Jack or Kate remained on the island. But tbh I think he is much better off with her than Kate. Kate really did just use Sawyer when she was jealous of Jack's relationship with Juliet. Kate's approach to it is also extremely immature, rather than talking about it with Jack she goes and sleeps with Sawyer and the next day is afraid that Jack will find out. She pretty much wants to have both of them while Juliet doesn't get either.
Sawyer always knew she was using him, but always played along because of being blindly in love. While his relationship with Juliet was created by circumstances, I think they realized they did love each other, which is why Juliet never left even though she had the opportunity to do it. Sawyer was never happy with his life as a conman, since he was pretty much forced into it since his only goal in life became to kill the person who conned his parents. After he killed him at the black rock, he could start living a normal life. He asked Kate to stay with him at the barracks, but she went back to Jack. ( And he wasn't the reason she came there in the first place )
Juliet also had a rather troubled life, with her first husband cheating on her/dying, Goodwin getting killed, Jack loving Kate over her, being forced to work for the Others for 3 years with Ben hitting on her. Since she knows all of Sawyer's life from his file, she probably felt close to him and was happy to be together with him when he decided to live a normal life at Dharma.

Yes, its exasperating. At times :rolleyez:. But, we need to see what happens! Closure, closure, closure!! Who grows beyond it, who gets sucked under. Who will choose whom and will it be for good reason? Will it satisfy us from the perspective of whoever our favorite character might be?
What will TPTB pull out of their hat that could possibly satisfy anyone??
That suspense makes it :thumbs_up for me!
