This makes “Battlestar Galactica” the first TV series to make it to Blu-ray Disc as a multiseason complete series set.
The 25-DVD ($279.98) and 20-disc Blu-ray ($349.98) sets will include all four seasons of the show, including the original four-part miniseries, the TV movie Razor, and an extended cut of the three-part series finale. Executive producer Ronald D. Moore has hinted in podcasts for the show that the finale would be edited into a single movie. Previous DVD releases presented the miniseries as a three-hour film.
In addition to extras from earlier seasons, the complete series boxed set also will include a Cylon action figure.
Also due July 28 (prebook June 6) is Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.5, containing the final episodes of the series, on DVD ($49.98) and Blu-ray Disc ($69.98).
Extras for both formats include three extended episodes, including the series finale; deleted scenes; commentaries; video blogs; “Evolution of a Cue,” a featurette about the show’s music with composer Bear McCreary; “What the Frak Is Going On With Battlestar Galactica?,” an eight-minute recap of the first three seasons; the featurette “The Journey Ends: The Arrival”; “A Look Back”; “So Say We All,” with reflections from Moore and the cast and crew; “Manifesto Destiny,” a glimpse at the writing and origins of the show; “Battle-Style Galactica,” a dissection of the show’s visual style; “Martyr to a Cause,” a conversation with actor Richard Hatch, the only actor to appear on both the 1970s and re-imagined versions of “Galactica”; and “Battlestar Revelations.”
Exclusive Blu-ray extras include a BD Live “Battlestar Galactica Ultimate Battle” game; interviews with musicians who contributed to the show; and U-Control interactive guides about the show’s language, ships and characters.
This will be the first individual “Galactica” season to be released on Blu-ray. The first season of the show had been released on the defunct HD DVD format.
The release of the complete series does not mean the end of the “Galactica” saga, however. This fall sees the release of the TV movie The Plan, which is intended to fill in some gaps in the series’ storylines. And next year sees the television debut of the prequel series “Caprica” on SyFy (the re-branded Sci Fi Channel). The extended pilot episode of “Caprica” was released on DVD April 21.

Since I already have all the other seasons.
I think I'll just buy 4.5. :cylon:
This is one TV series I will have to pass on. I haven't bought any sets and probably will wait for a year or so until I can find them in a wholesale club for like 20 clams. lol

The Cylons began as humanity's robot servants. They rebelled and evolved and now they look like us. Their plan is simple: destroy the race that enslaved them. But when their devastating attack leaves human survivors, the Cylons have to improvise. Battlestar Galactica: The Plan tells the story of two powerful Cylon leaders, working separately, and their determination to finish the task.
On Blu-ray, The Plan will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. A trivia challenge will be exclusive to Blu-ray while the other extras are shared between the two formats.

I went ahead and jumped all in on the BSG series on blu-ray. I really wanted to get it through the aStore but my impatient side won while I was t Best Buy earlier. If I disappear for a long period of time, blame the blu-rays. :)
