I've been wondering this for a while, when Claire named the baby, did they ever clarify if the name 'Aaron' meant anything to her, or did she probably just like it?

They didn't say why she chose or not, I think.
Maybe we will find out the significance (if any) in Season 2.
No, they didn't. Too bad.
I like the name Aaron, but couldn't the writers have looked a little deeper into the baby name book? haha.

I bet they have a good reason but just didn't want to say in Season 1.

Maybe its another strange connection, in someone elses flashback they may have known someone named Aaron.Or maybe Claire knew someone named Aaron.

I heard that Aaron means Ireland, which means Island. (I'm not sure which spelling of the name [Aaron/Erin or any others]).

The boy name and the girl name are completely different, come from different areas of the world, and when properly pronounced, sound different too.
Erin is the girl name which means Ireland and is an Irish name, not Aaron. I should know, my name is Erin :) Just wanted to clear that up.

Sorry about that, I just wasn't sure. It felt interesting though.
Hehe, no worries. I have a feeling it might be someone Claire knew.....did we know the father's name? Maybe her father, who knows....but it most definitely has meaning to it (I think anyway).
Good question so looked it up... turns out .... i can make no sense of it
The meaning of Aaron
Origin: Biblical
Meaning: A teacher; lofty; mountain of strength
Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: Lofty; exalted; high mountain. Biblically, Aaron was Moses' older brother (and keeper by God's command). He was first high priest of the Israelites, remembered for the miraculous blossoming of his staff or rod.
Origin: Shakespearean
Meaning: 'The Tragedy of Titus Andronicus' A Moor, beloved by Tamora.
I was going to look it up aswell, but I got the same.
I've not actually seen the eppisode yet, but, she might just like the name Aaron. But, it might be more likely there's some sort of reason. I think. :)
think your right...
there doesn`t have to a meaning to it. She might just be a fan of the name itself.
