View Full Version : Site log in issues with Opera

Yup, me and Opera again.

Anyway, for about a week now Opera has simply stopped working with certain sites and log in pages. There's no error, it either loads forever, or just stays as a blank tab. It's definately just Opera, as the sites load fine in IE.

Some that won't work:

https://mail.google.com/mail/
http://www.last.fm/login
https://www.deviantart.com/users/login
http://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1250628749&rver=5.5.4177.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fmail.live.com%2Fdefault.aspx&lc=2057&id=64855&mkt=en-GB (Hotmail login page, I can load this but when I click "sign in" it never loads)

Do they all have something in common that I am missing?

I can't find anything online so far (if anyone else can, I will <3 you), so in a vain hope thought of posting here to see if anyone has any ideas. Thanks!

I see all those are sites where you log in. I had similar troubles at one point because my upload speed was either too slow or not consistent enough. Not sure how to fix it, unfortunately. But in your investigations, your might want to concentrate on upload problems.

Well, they are all "https" sites - last.fm redirects to one, and live.com goes to one when you try to log in. But I have no idea why that should be a problem for you.

Yeah, the problem is with being able to log in, or even get the log in page to show. How would I go about looking at upload speed? Could it be that even if the pages work with IE?

Paypal did not work, but Livejournal (secure option) works, and last.fm isn't https afterall, so it isn't that..
