He just hates sports because Duke - UNC pre-empts Lost. That gives me an idea for next April fools.

Well you raised a big enough stink about it. I don't look too kindly on members trolling my forum just because they have issues with their local ABC affiliate. I ain't yer frakking programming director just like Suil Liath doesn't write Lost so don't take your frustrations out here, TYVM.

One thing I still don't get six months later... I know there has to be something like Fox Sports Carolina that could have carried the game, or maybe some non-network affiliate could have aired it over broadcast if they were concerned about coverage for all the people who were too stuck in the past to know what cable television is or too poor to afford it (every state has a few of those). Doesn't it occur to these folks in control of programming that there are people in the Carolinas who are not acolytes worshipping at the altar of ACC hoops and who do not believe that Tar Heels - Blue Devils is about the next best thing to actually witnessing The Immaculate Conception.

I've got cable. Didn't help.

Lost aired here only about an hour a half from where Sarge is. He is just unlucky enough to be stuck right on the outer boundaries of NCAA Basketball hysterical country. Up there the UNC - Duke game will preempt anything even a presidential speech I would guess. And ummm there are things better than watching Carolina/Duke Basketball? You lost me.

Well, I'm not NCAA-Hysterical but I'd pick UNC-Duke over a presidential speech...any US president. What, Lincoln's dedicating some cemetary in Pennsylvania...boring. I think I'll watch the Heels and Blue Devils instead.

Just saying I was amazed we actually got to see Lost that day. Usually the game would have been on here also.

Early 2000's when the Leafs adn Senators met in the playoffs 3 years in a row the province basically shut down when the games were on.

It's crazy because nothing can cut a football game short now a day.
