View Full Version : The Skeleton
What is everyone's thought on the Skeleton on the preview for the episode airing Oct. 27th?? It looks quite decomposed, however it also looks like it died a peacful death instead of being ripped apart by whatever is being termed the "Monster" (which I think is a vegatarian or vegan).

Well, my damned ABC affiliate failed to show any previews for next week's episode, so all I can offer is the theory that the skeletons (I have read about more than one on a reliable website) are those of former crash survivors that had taken up residence in a cave that will be discovered by the current group's fresh-water expedition. How or why I have no clue.
Thoughts on how they (or he/she) died?? Not from lack of water of food as the island has plenty for those who give a bit of an effort...Perhaps a previous castaway(s) who died of old age and wanted to die in a place which would preserve his body to a point as the jungle would easily devour his remains in both the short (animals) and long (forest growth) term. Perhaps the skeleton will have a message for whoever will find him/her. Looking forward to this weeks episode. Thoughts???

What if Hurley is the monster..and he's eating everyone alive one by one!!
Aaaargh!
:lol
Ahh...idle hands.....:p
We'll see how Hurley's waistline progresses throughout the series. I imaging it will stay the same or get larger. Proof point that HE IS THE MONSTER......Look Out Dude!!!!!

I'm of the belief that the monster killed the wild boar that Locke brought back, so I don't think the monster could be a veggie.
You contradict yourself. If you don't think the monster is a vegetarian then why did it just kill it and let Locke have it instead of eat it ............ or the pilot for that matter. It didn't eat him, just killed him.

What if we are all looking at the pilot in the wrong way? Maybe whatever it is that is in the jungle only feeds off a certain part of it's victim, like a vampire and blood, maybe it feeds off of bone marrow or brain fluid or something and the reason it didn't kill Locke is because his condition either weakened whatever it feeds off of or contaminated it? That would be why 1) It didn't devour the pilot or the boar 2) Locke wasn't harmed and 3) Locke could bring the boar back to the camp.
hmm..... interesting. Any known (and earthly) animals that would apply to this theory?

I think the body is Jack's dad, because I think that section of the plane went further back in time (16 years perhaps?) than the rest of the plane (which Jack and the others were on). I think this all links back to the wormhole/rift in time theory. The french lady might've been on the plane too, but might have been on a section of the plane that got sucked further back in time.
I thought JJ already nixed the time travel theory??

Ack. Didn't know if he did or not. Guess that scratches that theory... @_@
