I think it is a little more comlex than that, but a nice attempt at plotting out the area. Would the living area be that close to the hatch (or that easily accessible?)?

You can see the buckets in one shot of Desmond when he was punching at the media center. Also the microwave and blender were behind Locke when Desmond had the gun to his head.
I think its a pretty accurate (awesomely accurate!) depiction - of course we don't know where the corridor leads to. Its my guess that it leads to water - they are about a mile from the beach to get to the hatch.
wow, this guy is good, i was just getting the feel myself..
his seems more accurate, i can test his easily...

Nice work!
So basically, the "hatch" is a seperate place than the "apartment".
hey, just like hurley said, each compartment does something different...

Wow, pretty impressive.
I think his map is wrong. Jack walks a straight line from the hatch until the mural. the mural is on his left and the halway goes straight in front of him. I belive he turns left at the mural and goes until he reaches the paint cans and door with the electronic locks which is across from the geo room he ends up in.

LOL...we're having this discussion in 2 places, but in response, I felt like he turned left a bit to see the mural, and then went back right a bit towards the blocked passage...The first time I watched, when he first spotted the mural, I felt like there was a dark area to the left he wasn't going into(which would be the living quarters) and he went the other direction, which supports the general setup of the map...

Very good map and level of detail. I tried to make my own map but could not reconcile certain aspects of the rooms to relationships in screenshots. The biggest problem was the kitchen island.

I'm sure there plenty of continuity errors (especially considering the mirroring of spaces in the hatch), but one that jumped right out at me is the location of the exercycle.
The link at the top of the page shows screencaps with the exercycle closer to position 14, and definitely not at position 3. Unless there are two of them.
Anyone else?

Did anyone notice in Michael's flashback that there is a painting on the wall that looks similar to the painting in the hatch? I was looking at the Lost pictures last night and saw this but I don't know how to get that photo over here. The drawing of the fish looked similar to the mural in the hatch

i haven't gone back yet but i do remember a resemblance to Michael's art work and the art work in the hatch. some others on the site here have even posted screen caps of Claire's art work in comparison to the mural and Michael's work.

great map!
just two quick issues:
1. just beyond the diner table (north-east?), where locke was seated when talking with Des, the wall is covered with hatch marks counting the days (?).
2. where is the food storage area? (and when Des left, he grabbed some medicine and the injector after grabbling some stuff on shelves facing, or opposite the medicine cabinet, didn't he?)
great work tho: love the sight-line and mirror line-up.

Where is the bathroom and the shower?

Both sets of maps are quite well detailed, lotsa work involved. Impressive.
Regarding the ones the real ptb posted: Looks like a hidden part of the city in Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas, only easier to read.
