the actor malcom david kelly wanted to have a lessor role on the show? Is that the reason for the walt abduction? If so that is kind of a cool way to lessen his role instead of just killing him off. IF this has been posted my bad but I never saw anyone mention this in any thread.

nah I doubt they would ever recast anyone. I mean I know he is not the most important part to the show but still I could not see him or any main character ever being recasted.

regardless of how many times we see walt in the future, I think that we will just have to accept that the actor may be taller than what the character should be. some things are just even these writers' gifted hands.

I think it's got something to do with the plot we'll see later. As we saw in the first three episodes it's pretty easy to write a character into the background on this show. If he wanted to work less they could have written him into the background just as easily. Have Michael walking around all the time looking for Walt to do his chores.

First of all, If you haven't read any of Stephen King's "Dark Tower" books, I'm sorry. Not just that you don't understand what I'm about to say, but that you are missing an AWESOME story with deep mythology (not unlike our favorite TV show). Anyways, to continue a thought formed from reading another thread about Stephen King's Dark Tower series, I think Walt is a breaker and has special value in that regard. That's why he was taken - Cap't Gorton needs a beam or two broken!!
