Did you guys notice that if you click on seats 4A, 8A, 15A, 16A, 23A, and 42A some of the names pop up of the survivors. if you then click on the squares that change color little things show up - for instance when you click on shannon's seat a picture of sayid flashes, when you click on kate's seat her mug shots flash....creepy

To get the trailer for season 2, click The Numbers in order along the bottom of the seating chart. There is no direct link since this is a flash based thing.

In order to get the random seating chart fun, you have to click on certain seats which will light up certain other seats.

Edit: Apparently it doesn't matter which seats you click as long as you are in the magic row numbers
The key seats are any ones in row: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

Clicking those should light up the following seats:
9F - Shannon
9E - Boone
29C - Charlie
23A - Jack
24D - Locke
27G - Marshall Edward Mars

Further clicking on those lit up seats will give you random flash bits.
- Clicking Shannon's seat shows Sayid's passport and Rousseau's map.
- Clicking Boone's seat shows a big black and white picture of him.
- Clicking Charlie's seat shows a swinging Driveshaft pass and then part of Claires Diary.
- Clicking Jack's seat shows a bottle of vodka and also gives you the link to oceanicflight815.com, which after an intro flash movie gives you a link to some ABC board. After it's done it lights up Rose's seat 23D.
- Clicking Rose's seat shows her husband's wedding ring and some audio.
- Clicking the Marshall's seat shows his ID zipping by. Further clicking lights up Kate's seat 27H.
- Clicking Kate's seat shows the toy plane. Another click shows her mugshots.
- Clicking Locke's seat shows some pamphlets, his knives, and then him with some strange static.

Start clicking 4A, 8A, etc, (the magic numbers). When a seat is highlighted, click on it.

Some of this stuff might be considered SPOILER, so consider yourself warned. The 1st to pop up is:

Rutherford, Shannon 9F. Clicking on her seat once gives a faded picture of Sayid's passport; clicking a second time gives a good view of it. We see Sayid's surname is Jarra and father's name is Hassid, and he was born on Jan 17, 1969.

2nd:

Mars, Edward, 27G. Clicking his seat shows his marshall ID. It flickers endlessly; there is an image of his headshot, then of him knocked out in his plane seat.

3rd:

Ryan, Kate, 27H. Clicking her seat shows her mugshot, and some other stuff that I couldn't make out because it went by so fast. Rolling over the airplane icon on the bottom left will show her toy plane.

4th:

Pace, Charlie, 29C. Clicking on his seat once, a backstage Driveshaft pass swings on the left of the screen. Clicking twice, Claire's diary appears, with a picture of her and her boyfriend (?), his image scratched out. I couldn't make out what the diary said.

5th:

Shepard, Jack, 23A. Clicking on his seat once you see the "Flight 777" (HUH???) on the bottom left change to "Flight number 815." Clicking twice, a bottle of vodka appears and flickers around (the mini-bottle he drank from as the flight started?)

6th:

Rose, 23D. Clicking on her seat, a wedding band falls down the screen.

7th:

Carlisle, Boone, 9E. Click his, his face fills the screen.

8th:

Locke, John, 24D Not sure what appears here; looks like a CIA badge? Then his knives.

The 777 refers to the plane model number. Clicking Jack gives flashes it to 815 and then to oceanicflight815.com.

Also, what is the signifigance of the trailer repeatedly printing "they're not survivors" over and over again in different ways. i know that this is supposed to lead to the entire "they're not the survivors they thought they were" statement, but its strange how it exists. it highlights the "not" several times. its strange. i thought my computer was screwing up and the flash wasn't playing correctly. but it definitely keeps saying "they're not the survivors."

Reminds me a bit of bladerunner. False memories could be implanted in all of them to make them think they are better off not leaving. They could all be clones or experiments and the year doesnt have to be 2004, just a year they picked to simulate for them like in the matrix.

That would explain the numbers recurring through their memories, its an artifact of the system that creates the memories. Like in the Matrix when dejavu was a sign something had changed.

That also explains the focus on their backstories, we are supposed to find more and more inconsistancy and ridiculous coincidence until we finally admit their memories are messed up.

I don't know how you guys discovered the seating chart that is linked on the first page of this thread. I went to the "book flight" page and at the bottom there are six boxes with "0's" in them for age range. I entered the lottery numbers and then hit "find" and it brought me to the seating chart.

Actually you're incorrect. The code says "Alert."
Also when I highlighted that line it automatically brought me to the seating chart.

Normally I'm much too reserved to toot my own horn, but in this case I'm obligated...to myself, hee hee. After the Beechcraft fell from the tree, someone here had a great thread "What the h--- is in the tree?" along with the video of something in the background in the treetops. It was speculated to be an editing error, probably a union member whose job was to pull ropes so the plane fell correctly.

I watched it several times and concluded that it looked like...A GIANT TREE SLOTH!!! Really! I did! Go back and check!

I, a mild-mannered music teacher and gentle mother of 3 and usually far too intimidated by the brain power here to extrapolate a theory, have answered the Question.

At least according to the OA seating chart website, and unless TPTB change their minds or mislead us, and if that's not just a red herring, and...oh well, it's fun to think I might be close :)

Sorry to take ye down a notch. But...that "thing" falling obviously looked like a sloth or monkey and i think most people thought as much. But it was likely a error. To begin with, it was WAYYYY smaller then a Mapinguari. Second, Mapinguari's are dubbed GROUNDSLOTH'S for a reason, these lumbering giants live/lived ON the GROUND, not trees. However, it were part mechanical i guess it could be in the trees, but then it wouldn't really be a Mapinguari now would it? Personally, it is likely a bluff, but I like the idea.

When i go to track the flight a light blue sign comes up saying that it is loading the seating chart and to please wait a moment, but then nothing happens after that. The chart never comes up. Is this happening to anyone else? Can any one tell me what i am doing wrong?

if you have a browser that tells you what is loading, you can pretty much figure out what is hidden.

Also... from screen shots, it appears that the plane has a divider after row 27, which would be a conflict with this website's seating diagram.

In theory, this is a cool thing that they put up. However, it is full of errors. For instance,

* Numerous screencaps show the plane is configured as 3-4-3 not 3-3-3 as shown in the seating chart.
* Screencaps show 4 rows behind Locke and then a partition not 6 rows as shown in the seating chart.
* The flight tracker has the flight leaving from Gate 15 when the finale clearly showed it leaving from Gate 23.
* The flight tracker has the flight departing at 14:04 (14:08 actual) whereas the seating chart indicates a 08:04 departure.
* The flight tracker has the flight arriving at 3:16 (3:23 updated) whereas the seating chart has a scheduled arrival of 18:16.
* The seating chart indicates a flight time of 13:52 yet the flight time using the data from flight tracker would be 13:12 (assuming all in local time, otherwise 6:12) and the seating chart would be 10:12 (assuming all in local time, otherwsie 3:12). Regardless of the time change, the x hours and 52 minutes is just wrong (if you leave at 4 past the hour and arrive at 16 past the hour, it will always be x hours and 12 minutes -- not 52)!!!

I constantly read on these boards how everything means something and the great attention to details by JJ et al. However, when you see something like this that is linked to the show and is full of errors you begin to question what is intentional and what is just haste/sloppiness/laziness. Feel free to dissect every morsel of this new site, but understand that you'll need a pretty good filter to rummage through the mistakes or intentional misdirects.

I'm with Austra. I *really* want to believe all of this, but this website isn't even hosted out of the Disney servers. If you do a Whois on this site, it's out of some random place; and the registrant is an obvously nonexistant company.

I know that Disney is prone to creating shells and farming out stuff (like the Official Lost Fan Club), but every single other officially sanctioned website related to Lost is out of the Disney servers, including www.oceanicflight815.com. The link to the Touchstone TV disclaimer is easy to fake; it's just a link to a generic go.com page.

The fact that it links you to an official site is irrelevant - you can access that webpage without jumping through any www.oceanic-air.com hoops.

This is done by Clicking on the ROW NUMBERS just below the airplane in order - 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 - to see the 2nd trailer.

Sorry, I'm new to board and I posted under a new topic, but I'll re-ask here. Has anyone else clicked other seats only to have them stay 'reserved' blue? I've gone over the seating chart a few times noting that there are seats that stay dark blue until you run your mouse over them then they are gone. After I refresh and do it again, a different group stays blue.Also, if you click the 4-8-15-16-23-42 then refresh then reclick the 4-8-15-16-42 the numbers will NOT bring up the same people as before. For example #4 the first time highlighted Boone, the second time it was Locke's seat, the third time it was Charlie's seat, the fourth time it was Locke's again then Ed Mars, then Shannon and each of the number's does this. Why is this? Also, why does the plane kind-of change shape the second time Jack's seat number is clicked. Is there anyway to "hold" that page to look at it? Does the number of seats on the plane change? Also, if you add up the seats first class has 30, business has 45, economy has 180 and 106 totaling 361 seats, not 352 as is listed.

I saw someone mentioned this website before, and that there are clues hidden within it. Well, when you go to the site, there is a 'statement' from the president of the airline. When you run your mouse over the underlined Flight 815, a dark bar appears to the right. I took my mouse over and dragged it and a piece of paper with what looks like script of the show appeared, can anyone decipher this for me? The unavailable page (what oceanicairlines.com is at this current time) was created (some browsers use popups nowadays instead of generic 404 pages, which is how that little trick was found out pretty quickly), so the site is truly not down. I hope it's the start of the vaunted game campaign that's been talked about (the aforementioned promotional group in my previous post talks of the game being something for us fans during the summer). If not, I hope the loser that made it pays for it out the arse with all the bandwidth he's been getting:lol

It's not like there was truly much to miss, but I was disappointed that the topic was closed. I thoroughly respect KF2 and the contributions made to this board, but it is a bit sad to know that you _didn't even go to the site_. If you had, you would be responding to it just like we were, and furthermore, you would have actually been able to see it when it was up!. This isn't the ABC boards where somebody makes a post every hour about some "secret" they "discovered" on the oceanic air site. Those forums HAVE been on top of this website cropping up though, they were the first to notice that the "unavailable" page was CREATED, and of course they'd been posting all day when the page was updated with a letter every time a LOST number came in the minutes of time. It showed a lot of promise. It hasn't been updated since the second time they made an Unavailable page (the first version of it had different coding, this new one is shaved, also further proves that they're either jerking our chain or messing with us before they give us something good, since it had been spelling WHEN IT'S TIME for its duration), so pretty much nobody who is just finding this out now knows what the hell we're talking about. WE ARE NOT CRAZY, you guys just weren't here/on the ball.

I found a way to access the seating chart without going through "Track Flight." From the Home page, enter the following:

Adults - 4
Senior - 8
Youth - 15
Child - 16
Infant in Lap - 23
Infant in Seat - 42

Then click "Find" - this should bring you to www.oceanic-air.com/seatingchart.htm. (http://www.oceanic-air.com/seatingchart.htm.)

I also noticed that some of the airport codes are fake. I especially liked the airport code "JJA" - and I wonder if "DML" stands for David ("M"?) Lindeloff. I'm not sure if any airport code combinations mean anything, but perhaps the locations hold some clues. For instance, ZAZ is the airport code for Zaragoza, Spain; and OKR is Yorke Island, QL, Australia. There are a lot of Australian airport codes there. When you see the flicker of the "Oceanic 777/Oceanic 815", that is the type of plane that Kate is so fond of. Also, if you haven't figure this one out yet, on the seating chart go to where the numbers are located (about half way down the page), and left ckick right under the 4, the 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42. The spoiler/next seasons commercial ad will appear. Good luck with what you may find.

I've seen almost everything everyone has mentioned. It just doesn't seem consistent to me. For example, I got something to happen from Boone, Shannon, and Jack's seat, but no one else. Sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't. I have a feeling it has to do with the order in which you click?
Eventually, I'm sure someone will compile all their findings and have a cheat sheet.
Also, there was a site where all the things that can be found were posted, i.e. the pink sheet, the messages in the bottle. Don't remember where I saw this though.

Warner, after you click on Jack's old seat, 23A, and the vodka bottle comes up, click on it again (it should still be green), and an orange seat will light up and Jack's new seat, 23 C comes up. I hope that helps.

I can't get a freeze frame showing the above info. Are you talking about the Harrison Valley PD shot on the oceanic site? Is it on her neck tag, meaning that was the date the pic was taken,or is it elsewhere indicating a publication date for the flyer?

3 months after 7/16/04, Kate was on the island.

EDITED TO ADD: I found it. 7-16-04 is the date of the document - appears to be the faxed date - that Mars is carrying, showing Kate's mugshot. That works ok.

Considering when it aired, it was meant as one of two things. First, as a teaser for those who are just starting to watch LOST during the off-season. It's another tool to get them hooked, as if anyone needs any reason other than the show itself, IMO! :)

Second, it's kind of a bone thrown to the regular viewers. TPTB know that most of us have seen that site, if not the commercial, already. Kind of plays to both ends of the spectrum, the new viewers as well as the diehard fans.

I haven't seen it anywhere other than during the LOST re-runs so I don't know how extensive it is. If it's being shown elsewhere, I'd love to know about it! :)

And if you want my "sitting in the basement with a tin-foil hat on" theory, they did it just to mess with us here on the boards. They know we've picked that site clean as a chicken leg so why not throw it out there for all the new viewers and watch the fun! They realize we've had our fun at their expense so it's possibly payback time! :)

I did check this thread, but all apologies if this has already been discovered. It's been awhile since I went there but visited this morning to check out the new 'THE BOY' stuff and noticed the changes to the header.

Whoa. All kinds of crazy stuff going on at oceanic-air.com this morning.

As previously discussed, put 'THE' in the "From" field and "BOY" in the To field. Click FIND and the seating chart pops up.

Click "Pre-board Check in" and the Ethan Rom anagram game pops up.

I took the easy way out and put in "Other Man" and when I did a little movie of Walt's abduction pops up. I'm gonna see if different anagram's yield different results.

'Other Man' seems to be the only anagram that works. If you try other combinations and place the letter in the corresponding box for 'Other Man' you can't drag the letter back out of the box like you can with the incorrectly placed letters.

Druzliah - don't even key 'The Boy' in on the main page. Go right to "Track Flight" and that should take you to the seating chart. Then, hit the green button - Pre board check in - at the bottom right of the chart. That should get the anagram game to pop up. Then place the letter as "other man" and that should do it. Let me know if that works.

Yeah JB, it probably is the raft as kpoz pointed out. I kinda just jumped to the conclusion that it was the Others probably because that's what my mind wanted!

But the two versions, would not surprise me. I guess we can expect the header to feature other interesting things as we approach S2.

I know it's been discussed previously on the board, but the Oceanic logo seems to be indicative of something. Not stealing anyone's thunder, but someone posted that maybe it means, "An Island (pink inner dot), in the Ocean (aqua circle), on Earth (blue circle), that is being watched (18 pink outer dots). I like that and how it could fit withing the mythology of the show.

Have you'll noticed all the names and details in the hidden messages in the source code have been changed? The names have been taken out, as well as references to places and other people.

For example, Bob Jones' name is no longer listed, nor his references to Enid and Tulsa, OK.

Jake Smith's name is gone, and his reference to his wife, Christina.

Robert West's name is gone, and his reference to his parents Mr. and Mrs. John West of Tucson, AZ and the reference to Santa Barbara CA is gone.

Sally's name is still there, but the reference to Sandra Raffelthorpe in Lewiston, ID is gone.

Changes have been made. It now shows the departure time and date on the home page and has a cool pre-board link on the seating chart.
Also a new flight # 572 shows up - check out the message.
You can also pull up Claire's boarding pass - interesting that it shows all the detail, including the cost but doesn't have the flight number near as I can tell(?).

Very strange, looks like Claire's flight included a Burbank-Phoenix-Newark leg. Some Burbank-Newark real life flights do stop over in Phoenix.
The multiple CO's seem to mean coach. There's one FC which may or may not mean first class, hard to tell the sequence.
The EWR (Newark) leg shows 244.55 and the LAX part shows 175.00 for LAX, which adds up to the 419.55 USD. Total fare cost is 819.55, whether USD or AusD, not clear.

Odd, and fun. I'm sure the coding is deliberately vague.

Looks like a drive shaft to me.
(Long ago and elsewhere I posted my pet theory that Charlie's band is a punning reference to a drive shaft mechanism that runs under the surface of the island.
You don't have to buy into that theory tho to believe the picture is of a drive shaft. Just google up a few images and you'll see what I mean.)

I’m intrigued by the airport codes listed in the two menus on Oceanic’s homepage.

Across both menus there are 18 unique codes - 18 destinations that are probably meant to correspond with the 18 dots represented in the Oceanic logo.

7 are airports in Australia: CBR - Canberra; EDR - Edward River; KAX - Kalbarri; OKR - Yorke Island; RMA - Roma; ULP - Quilpie, & SYD.

4 are airports in the US: ATL - Hartsfield-Jackson, Atlanta; EWR - Newark; JFK; & LAX.

2 are in Europe: CDG - Charles De Gualle, Paris; & ZAZ - Zaragoza, Spain.

2 are in Africa: ALK - Asela, Ethiopia; & BOY- Borgo, Burkina Faso, (ie. near Nigeria!).

1 is in South America: THE - Teresina, Brazil.

For some reason ATL (Hartsfield-Jackson) is listed twice on each menu? - and 2 codes DML & JJA are obviously just Lindelof & Abrams having a bit of fun.

OK, maybe it's just me. I've been all over the oceanic-air.com site in the past and didn't really pay it much attention after all the goodies were found and discussed, HOWEVER,

I just saw a promo for LOST on ABC (obviously) tonight (8/20/02 10:33pm EST) and at the end when they put the title page up, you know "LOST, Season premier September 21, blah, blah, blah" , I noticed something different, at least for me. At the very botton it said "www.oceanic-air.com." This is the first time I've seen it linked on television, at least in direct relation to a LOST promo so maybe it's just me.

I know there are those of you out there who view that site frequently, has anything changed? Are there more goodies to find that haven't already been discussed? I can't get it to work right now so I'm just curious.

I'm toying with something interesting over there. On the Book Flight page, right bside the date is a little mini-calender. When you click on it, a # symbol appears in the web address in the url space. I put the numbers after the # sign, and the page refreshed, with the numbers now apart of the web page title. Wonderful work translating the map, Ploumcake. I notice some interesting things there. Since west wind means wind coming from the west the wreck of Danielle's ship should be on the south side of the island, apparently not far from the remains of Milla Jovovich. Also, below the words "Crab's Bay" is what appears to be a disdance legend with marks reading "10___20___30___40___50___60k". 60 kilometers?!?! That's 36 miles. Just how big is this island anyway? If it were an isolated flyspeck only a few miles across like Pitcairn I could see nobody landing there very often, but this map says that it is the size of Oahu at least, if not the Big Island, and how do you hide that?

There is also a further question of the map's origin. Is this an actual capture of Danielle's map from the show or did one of the jokers at Oceanic just make a copy and throw in their own stuff?

Yes, it's been established quite firmly that we'll discover that at least some of the tail section passengers are alive on the island. Even TPTB have made this fairly clear.

But you're other idea, is something I was wondering about too. Why is it that only her seat lights up a first? I also found this quite strange..

did other seats in the tail section light up? i only got hers. the new tv guide has some things to ponder about season 11, along with a cd/dvd. it only plays as a cd, to save you the time. i feel she is the only survivor of the tail section and we will see a romantic "trapezoid"??? don't want to get into spoilers territory......you all see and read for yourselves.
i don't think anyone on the plane had anything to do with the actual crash, but i believe someone/more than one on the plane was the reason. i think all the talk about going inside yourselves and redemption and renewal is not the reason, now. i think all the flash backs give clues as to why they are all there and their connections, but all the inner thinking is just what they all do when they are stranded and have to deal with their inner thoughts and each other and just want answers. we see that, but i think there is a greater thing on that island that is scary and more far out. actually the only one who thinks he is responsible is hurley. i still think he is the center. someday he will wake up with a pounding heart and out of breath and go "dude! that was weird!"

Couple of things...(and huge apologies if they've been covered, I've only just stepped from the wreckage).

There was some discussion earlier about how, in the bottom left hand corner, Oceanic 777 changes to Oceanic 815. The number 777 is significant in that it is the number of God. 5 being man, 6 as we all know being the Devil/beast and 7 is being the divine. It is also revered as a magical number in mysticism. Mind, you at this point, we have magical numbers falling out of our butts.

Also, the presence of Rose in the hidden characters section and the elabourate graphic of the falling wedding ring, must mean that her specualtions about her husband are correct and that we're going to meet him, along with Ana when the tail section survivors hook up with our heroes.

The information was on imdb.com but since then it's been said it's false so imdb took the info down. I don't think he's Rose's husband.

And the reason for the strange coloring on the seats could just be that they're in some way connected. Or how red means danger. Or is it love? They've both lost loved ones. Or at least, Kate has.
