I can't get LOST UNTOLD on this site to work...I get the flight board, then a bigger, tilted flight board, then Jack? in an oxygen mask and people screaming. I'm moving the mouse around but can't find anything else to click on. Any suggestions?

Try turning your monitor brightness up or something. It's there. To the right a bit, and maybe a bit below center. You can probably just try moving the cursor around until it turns into a hand - indicating a clickable area.

You can press the TAB key on your keyboard too - it will highlight the clickable areas.
It can be tricky tho. I still haven't been able to get past the photo of the dead girl (name Samatha Boone according to site). Can't find the clickable area anywhere yet, even after trying several different resolution settings.

Has anyone else noticed all the FBC on the island pages? It's everywhere, turns white or light-colored on the dark areas.

Makes me think it could be some kind of energy radiating from/around the island.

What do you all make of the obvious references to the Donnie Darko website (of old--pre-director's cut).

Besides the obvious Frank-the-Bunny suit with ambiguous face, these include:

lines that connect objects describing what will happen to Jack, ala Donnie's later abilities to see the "future" of things

the throbbing electronic soundtrack

the little blobs that fly across the screen but do not function as buttons

the fluctuating circled items that DO function as buttons

the juxtaposition of everyday reality and "imaginary" people (Jack's dad)

the suggestion that Jack's present is caught up with his past

the ambiguous insertion of a "relationship" (Kate) into a larger, traumatic context

disaster involving an airplane

the suggestion of temporal anomalies

two different possible paths (black and white)

Drabauer, I hear ya (I've been running a professional design firm for 5 years myself).

I suspect that a lot of elements on the LOST Flash site have more to do with product branding. The designers are using this site to reinforce their brand identity.

I agree with you-- I don't think a lot of the imagery has anything to do with our favorite show in the least. In other words, the site is going to prove misleading, at best.

(Although it looks cool, but that's not worth much to us).

I suspect Jack's seat of 23H was meant to be 23A and it was misread.

And yes, I noticed that Arzt was prominently missing for the list. And that one of the producer's kid's name was on the manifest. The tough one for me was the answering machine message; that was pretty hard to make out.

The Liam pic was part of a photo packet of DriveShaft stuff from what I took to be part of Charlie's things scattered next to Jack's things.I liked the 'how many are left' question where you had to input the number of survivors (which was incorrect by the way).

I suspect its more marketing/promo than actual canon of the show. I would think there'd be more/better info on the DVD out soon.

Inputting the number of survivors was 48: if I recall correctly, this is what we all thought at the beginning of the series, before we had further information on how many were on the island, etc (check Sledgeweb's or KF2's sites for more info). Ergo it would make sense that this UK site would go with 48.

Seriously, I don't think we'll know whether the site will prove meaningful until they update the Flash a bit to include other characters.

Also, you've gotta wonder if TPTB gave them insider info to include in the movie, or if they just provided them with a season one DVD set and told them to come up with something interesting. I'm leaning toward the latter, considering they keep their own actors in the dark concerning future episodes.
Also, it's geared toward an audience who's only beginning season one.
But who knows? Maybe it'll prove us wrong and give us something to talk about, besides Donnie Darko bunnies and audio samples from previous episodes.

Ignoring some of the apparent errors (i.e. the date on the LA Times article below being August 4, 2005) in that Channel 4 site, anyone notice the name of the patient that Jack's Dad killed? Since it's a UK site, and Lost debuted there later than here, I guess it's possible that they fudged the dates to make the crash happen later?

I have a question that i've been wanting to ask for weeks, and searching through 100s of posts has got me no closer to finding the answer so i will ask it now:

On the channel 4 website (for UK fans) there is a section called "Lost:the untold". The first image that comes up on this is a list of all the people on the plane. Why aren't Libby and Rose, and in fact a few other of the passengers, on the list? From what i can see i cannot see their names.

The Channel4 website may be the channel that airs Lost, but the website is full of errors and sometimes bizarre stuff that doesn't agree with the show. As far as canonicity (is that a word?) it should be treated as a fan site, which probably means it will be a lot more fun than an official site.

If you take a close look, you will not that some of the losties are in the wrong seat. For example, they have Jin and Sun in Row 50, but we know from the canon site that 42 was the last row.

I've been fumbling my way around this web site looking for any hint of anyone who has seen this website, and I have not found any such indication. But I find it hard to believe that no one has seen this yet, and as far into the Lost life that we are wading through this site is a full time job. Perhaps someone could give me some search tips?

I've gone through it but I'm sure that some of the more experienced posters on this site could use it alot better than myself, and make more connections than I have found. What I was most curious about was the phone number that kept appearing over the site.

It says that international charges apply and its not any type of number I've ever seen. I was wondering if anyone has called it and find out what its about. I would actually go though and post screen caps of the site and some of the insights I found but like I said I dont know if this has been discussed yet and if it has I dont want to post info everyone allreayd knows, but you must understand how intimidating it is to create a thread for someone with less than 200 posts.

If this has allready come up anyone that could point me in the correct direction I would appreciate it.

Search tip , I found this thread by clicking on boolean search and using Lost+untold as the keyword. Using + when having multiple words in the keyword space will turn up alot more. There are directions on the bottom of the search screen , they should help. The search takes a little getting used to but once you do it is very useful.
