Shannon & Vincent

What better way to soften a character than to give her a cute, fuzzy counterpart? As much as I liked the Sayid / Shannon pairing, I think I might like Vincent / Shannon better. I mean, that still leaves her single.

Besides that, I've read in other threads about Shannon being "special" the same way Walt is. I don't suppose that could be a contributing factor as to why Walt entrusted Vincent to Shannon, now, could it?

I never thought of that, Doh Boy, but I have always thought that there was so much more to Shannon than what they were showing. That's an interesting idea.

I'm a loyal Sayid/Shannon shipper :D ;) so I still want to see Shayid but agree on the Shannon Specialness and want to see more on her ..
I'm hoping in Season 2 we see flashbacks explaining about Shannon and why she feels unwanted and unloved ..
After seeing the latest flashbacks Boone was controlling but liked how Shannon get her two cents in but her setting Sayid up was horrible but the truth will come out thus the angst for Shayid so the possibilities are captivating 8)

drabauer had a great thread about Vincent being Walt's familiar (http://p073.ezboard.com/flosttheunofficalforumfortheabcseriesfrm39.showMes sage?topicID=57.topic) and I agreed with that idea here (http://p073.ezboard.com/flosttheunofficalforumfortheabcseriesfrm29.showMes sageRange?topicID=1325.topic&start=1&stop=20). We know after Born to Run that Walt does have some sort of power, but Vincent may still be a familiar or guardian, and the way Walt presented Vincent to Shannon and the way Vincent turned away from Walt to Shannon, may mean that Vincent is now Shannon's protector. It's possible Walt's power may a transfered as well.

Walt is special so he knows Shannon is special. That's why he gave him the dog LOL

Maybe Walt saw that Shannon would need vincent to protect her from something?

Of course Shannon is "Special"! Why else would Walt appear to her and nobody else? Wouldn't it make sense - if he were to choose a non-special person - for him to appear to his dad or Locke?

Shannon's vision and Walt's "powers" all have one thing in common: Vincent.

I think Walt's giving Vincent to Shannon will mean something. He could have given him to lots of other people who probably would have cared more about a dog, but instead he gave Vincent to Shannon.

There was a thread awhile back that proposed Vincent is the conduit that allows Walt's gift/power to manifest itself. Now we have Shannon, who according to Boone, is "special" as well. I think LIW maybe on to something!

Now that Michael's back Vincent will hang with him. The search for Walt begins in earnest. Conveniently, Sayid has seen the very soaked backward talking Walt havid.

While Vincent was right there. The havid's will stay with Vincent, and be seen by whoever Vincent is attached too. It will be interesting to see if Vincent accepts Michael, which would certainly validate Michael's role as father and protector, or if he'll follow Shannon to Sayid. I suspect the the latter. Sayid already saw the havid with Shannon.
