My first post :D
Ok, before this thread gets shut down, I want to state that this is a numbers theory, but unique enough to deserve it's own topic as not to be "LOST" (pun intended) with the others. Please fully read before closing moderators. Thanks.
I have been looking for a connection between the numbers and the game connect four for some time now. In the episode Numbers, Lenny was chanting the numbers while playing the game Connect Four. Also, Danielle Rousseau's notes had the series of numbers in 7 rows. There are 6 numbers. 7x6=42, the same number of spots on the game board.

We know that the game is related to the numbers, but how? Then I came across this on a Numbers thread post:
The sequence of 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 is part of a sequence of non prime numbers of 1's in binary expansion.
www.research.att.com/~njas/sequences/ (http://www.research.att.com/~njas/sequences/)
4 = 00000100 (1 ones)
8 = 00001000 (1 ones)
15 = 00001111 (4 ones)
16 = 00010000 (1 ones)
23 = 00010111 (4 ones)
Immediatly I notice the numbers: 1414! These are the number on the Transponder in the cockpit of the drug smugglers plane! Maybe this is a clue that we are on the right track?
I had noticed a reoccurring theme of light and dark: Connect four pieces, rocks found on Adam and Eve's , The game of Backgammon, Sawyer's Glasses, Cave and beach and so on. But it never occurred to me to notice Binary! (yes/no) (0/1) (red/black)
I need to get a screen cap of the sequence in which Lenny is adding the pieces to the board, and compare it to Danielle Rousseau's notes. Then maybe we have the context for the formula?
I also saw an interesting post making reference to spelling out the numbers.
FOUR EIGHT FIFTEEN SIXTEEN TWENTY THREE FORTY TWO = 42 letters
arrange them on the board, one letter for each slot and what do you get?
