Locke opens the hatch...from the INSIDE!

I haven't seen this anywhere else, which means I most likely missed it.

Anyway, here we go.

We've all heard all season long that there is no visible way to open the hatch from the outside. Many have said that there is a reason for this. I think I know the reason, obviously, it can only be opened from the inside. Here's my theory.

The question is, who's going to open it? In the previews,

we see Locke apparently being pulled underground and telling Jack (?) to let him go, he'll be alright.

I think this alludes to Locke opening the hatch from the inside. Yeah, it's a stretch but not all that impossible.

That's exactly where I think this is going. They'll try to blow it up, and fail (or possibly open it only to find another obstacle or impenetrable steel doorway). Locke gets sucked into the island, and follows a series of passageways until he reaches the hatch, and opens it from inside.

It would also be interesting to see Locke exploring the underground passages alone for a while, finding all sorts of crazy stuff down there. The story and mythology have gotten thick enough at this point, the writers could choose so many different paths for the plotline, I don't think we'll ever really know for sure what's happening before we see the episodes.

Still fun to take a stab at it though.

Are we sure that Locke will want to open the hatch once he is inside? Or that if he in fact ends up underground that he wont encounter others? Or go the wrong way (least likely of the three)? Lots of things can happen. And probably none for the good.

I have a feeling he gets pulled into SOMEthing, and we don't see him again until next season.

I'm still not convinced that the Hatch is only able to be opened from the inside: I think there is something you MUST be able to do to get it open. But we'll see tonight, won't we?
