Talk about a bad hair day! I know they are "lost" but her poor damaged hair.

Welcome FerFerB. Please read the welcome forum and the posting guidelines. There's a lot of good stuff on the site, so read up.
Kate looked damn good to me. Then again, I haven't seen her for 4 months.
Well ... with no hairbrush on the island, I think she's entitled to one or two bad hair days.

Do we really think there are no hair brushes? Sure Claire said that when she was dismissing Charlie, but did she mean it?

I think they found some. Claire and Shannon's hair have looked pretty good in some episodes. Claire had only gone through 20 suitcases when she made the statement of not finding a hairbrush.

That's what I think too. I haven't seen Locke carving any combs out of bone.

He was busy with the hatch. Give the man some time! :lol He'll get around to it.

Shannon's bad hair didn't phase me one bit. I though her acting was excellent in MoS,MoF, and her legs even better.

Apparently Sawyer doesn't appreciate great long legs.
Hmmm ... I would have to say that Sawyer quite appreciates Shannon's long legs. After all, by using the nickname "Sticks," I believe Sawyer is conscientiously keying in on one of Shannon's most prevalent - and attactive - features.

I think the writers are trying to insinuate, via the bad hair, that she is slowly going crazy. She stopped brushing it, apparently, after she shot Locke. And ever since the witchy hair arrived she has been seeing ghosts and hearing the whispers. She has become the resident Ophelia of craphole island.
I kind of like it though- it gives her more volume.:)

Interesting point of view. I have claimed that when Walt gave her Vincent, it was ritualistic, like one Wizard passing a familiar to another wizard. After that we see Walt make the bad decision to shoot the flare, and Shannon see's a vision of Walt right where Vincent was. I think I'm to something here.

She's stuck on an island, her brother died, and in her desperation has hooked up with Sayid!! I'd be a little crazy too.

If she stops painting her nails then we'll know for sure that she's losing it.
