Shannon's asthma

We have seen her have asthma during Confidence man, which made her alittle more sympathetic. Does anybody recall the scene in that episode where Boone said that Shannon has had asthma ever since she was a little girl? How long has Shannon and Boone known each other? For me, tonights episode didn't coincide with scenes from previous episodes. Maybe I needed alittle more of their history revealed.

Boone said, if I remember correctly, that his mother married her father when he was 10. He appears to be a lil bit older than her, though as far as I know we don't know for sure how much older - my guess would be anywhere from 3 to 6 years. This would make Shannon 4 to 7 years old when their parents married, and would definitely dovetail with Boone's comment about the asthma.

He saud their parents got married when he was 10 and she was 8, so he is 2 years older than her. So 8 years old is enough for her to be considered a "little girl".

eight years old is definitely a little girl. it's certainly not adult, or teenager. besides, if the parents got married when he was 10 and she was 8, you have to figure that they already knew each other for a year or two.

Alright, well you'll have to forgive me because I only watched bits and pieces of last nights episode. I saw only some of the scene were Sawyer was being arrested and Boone was talking about how his sister was his stepsister. That's why I have all the questions.

Her asthma problem is troubling. I don't know how many seasons this show will last nor do I know how much time the writers plan on having pass on the show but Boone said that he had packed enough meds for a few months (4).

Right now she has no inhalers , but I suspect in the future they will find them cuz she WILL need them. However, if this show lasts 5+ season, that must surpass 4+ months on the island, right?
I mean how can Shannon last for years when she needs the medication to breathe?
