Blast, I'm in northern Oregon and not about to travel down to southern California. But the online party sounds good! If it's a premiere part, it would make sense to do it the day of the premiere, although with the time discrepancies that wouldn't work too well. Maybe the day before the premiere? Tuesday the 20th?

And where are we going to facilitate this? If everyone uses AIM or MSN or something we could make a chatroom and invite everyone.

The online party idea sounds great! :) The date Jehu mentioned, the 20th, sounds pretty good as well. We all know what we'll be doing the next night and being here while it's airing probably isn't high on that list! :) Although, afterward, well we all know where we'll be as well but that's not a time to have a "premier" party! :)

As for location, how about the chat room here at the LOST-TV board? No special software, available to everyone already, etc. Sounds kinda convenient to me. Ever since the "split", I've seen maybe a maximum of 5 people in there at a time. Heck, we'll just include them in the party! :) I say we hijack the chatroom for the evening, or for at least as long as everyone cares to stick around.

Details, details, details! :lol Yeah, actually this is a good point since we're spread out all across the country. I'll be here 'round 7 or 8 PM EST as I usually am.

I propose this, all the east-coasters start around about somewhere between 6 and 8 PM EST, the mid-westerners can join in when they come online and the west-coasters can pick up the tail end of the party when they come online! I'm always up for a good party so I'll probably be around for awhile. DISCLAIMER: I know most folks have stuff like work, children, school, etc. to deal with so some will only be around for a little while.

That's about the best I can come up with. We all have different schedules so I say, get here when you can. If we promote it enough in the week leading up to the premier, and the party the day before, we'll have no shortage of party-goers.

ATTENTION: Since I have wireless, and will have satellite (so we can watch with the East Coasters), and three computers, I propose that we form a HUB in SoCal that connects to other HUBS on the East Coast, South, Midwest.

OK, I'll explain this as best I can (try and stick with me). This thread actually had a different title when it was started. I mentioned something about all the LOST parties and conventions and such happening on the West Coast all the time. I mentioned that those of us nearer to the East Coast needed to plan something for the premier. That's when it came to me (through reading the responses) that we should just do it online, here, via the chat room. I also said that we should do it the day before the premier of S2 of LOST since we're obviously not going to be here for a party on 9/21. (I, for one, will be watching the premier of S2, not posting here!)

The after party thing? You're guess is as good as mine. I was just suggesting a little get together in the chat room the night before the S2 premier of LOST. You know, for those of us who can't get together physically; we can get together virtually.

Basically, we're going to get together on 9/20, in the chat room(s) and have a little get together leading up the the premier. A premier party, if you will.

Perhaps someone else can provide more details. I provided the concept (along with others), so to answer your question:

No, the evening before. LOST S2 premiers on 9/21. We're coming to the chat on the evening of 9/20. Hope this helps. :)

Ahem, second try. Remember once upon a time three intrepid lostaways met in Columbus for a finale party on 5-25? Two of those decided to meet in Orange County for a similar event during the premiere of season two. I opened this thread in order to invite more lostaways to join us. Those who couldn't suggested forming regional premiere parties to embrace the east coast, or Michigan, for instance. Then our good Scottish friend feigenbaum, as well as folks all across North America who likely could not attend any regional party said "what about us?" Leuthen and others suggested a virtual online "party," one that began the night before the premiere as a warmup, using the lost-tv chat room. I added this to my original post, and decided to also suggest that those of us meeting regionally attempt to connect AFTER the premiere, to touch base. We will likely need additional temporary chat rooms to handle the overflow if this idea takes off.

It holds 25. Ezsucks doesn't support additional chatrooms, or an increase in the number of chatters. The people with dates better get there early, or risk standing up your dates.

This party should take advantage of msn, yahoo, aim, etc. The main chat room can be like the great room, and groups can have small parties in the other IM tools as well.
