Ok, so you're stranded on a desert island. If you are anything like me, you would bring (in addition to a boat, of course) some CDs and a CD player. If you could only bring 5 CDs, and had to listen to them for the rest of your dreadfully boring life on the island, what would they be?

Mine would be (after much thinking):
1. The Beatles- White Album (although you can't go wrong with any beatles, imo)
2. Bright Eyes- Digital Ash in a Digital Urn- I really love this album, but many people probably haven't heard of it. Give it a try.
3. Wilco- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (this one was the hardest for me, because Wilco is my current favorite band, and I had already decided to only do one album by any band. After much deliberation, I decided on this, though tommorow, it will probably be different)
4. Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here- My favorite album, by my favorite band of all time (yes, more then wilco). Enough said.
5. Damien Rice- O- I needed some mellower(sp?) acoustic stuff, and this is a fantastic album.

BTW: spell check is not working for me, but I DID at least try. :\

Ok, I have terribly tacky taste, so feel free to laugh at any of my picks:

1) The Used - In Love and Death
2) System of a Down - Mezmerize
3) Jimmy Buffet - Songs You Know By Heart
4) Keith Urban - Golden Road
5) Joshua Kaidson - Painted Desert Serande

You can't count the White Album as one CD - since it contains 2 CDs. Otherwise, you may as well pick 5 double albums for a total of 10 CDS. Just a random thought...

Heh ... OK:

1. Garden State Soundtrack
2. Beatles - Abbey Road
3. Radiohead - OK Computer
4. Empire Strikes Back Soundtrack
5. Rush - Chronicles, if double-albums count, otherwise Spirit of Radio

You can't count the White Album as one CD - since it contains 2 CDs. You caught me! But in that case I will choose what I think is the first one.

2. Gavin DeGraw - Chariot
3. Matchbox 20 - More Than You Think You Are
4. Hootie And The Blowfish - Cracked Rear View
5. Lifehouse - No Name Face

First I would make sure my cd player plays mp3s. Then I would transfer only the songs I like as mp3 files from my hundreds of CDs into 5 blank CDs. Since CDs hold tons of mp3 files, I would have a lot more music than all of y'all, suckers.

^ Haha!

- South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut Soundtrack (that's right, me too)
- American Wedding Sountrack
- Good Morning Vietnam Soundtrack
- Alanis Morissette: Jagged Little Pill
- Josh Groban: Closer

Yeah, I think that would do me good if I could only have five.

I gave my brother an MP3 player for his birthday. He knew what to do with it. I did not. Such are the generations.

Albums:

1. Beatles: Magical Mystery Tour
2. Talking Heads: Remain in Light
3. Patti Smith: Horses
4. Morphine: Yes
5. Dead Can Dance: Aion
