Doesn't it seem weird that everyone seems to be growig facial hair but this guy?? He still looks practically clean shaven, dirty but clean shaven. Jack is getting pretty fuzzy, but what about Jin?

Maybe he just doesn't grow facial hair. Though this is more common to hobbits than Koreans...

I'm guessing that there's a cultural/genetic reason he's not growing facial hair (or at least growing it slower).

My own facial hair grows really, really slowly, so by Episode 5 I won't have the full scruff that Jack, Sawyer, etc. have. (But not completely smooth like Jin).

I wonder if Jin has found his suitcase and/or Sun's, and if maybe he's keeping himself clean shaven using his own stuff.

Of course, if that were the case, maybe they would have both changed clothes at least one by now, which I don't think they have so far...

Some of the characters are shaving. Locke is.

I´m going to agree with Master X on this one. I do think genetically, Asian's are not predisposed to the body-hair condition that a lot of us have.

Most of Asians people, we don't have much growing hair. It's a genetic thing. The most growing hair that we have is a mustache.

So it's pretty scare to see an Asian with a growing beard though :)

Just a note*'

In LOIS AND CLARK Dean Caine and a producer are talking in the DVD narration of the pilot. She comments on how clean and smooth his body is, particularly in the chest area. He states that it's the Asian blood in him (he's 1/4 Japanese) and that he does not have to worry about body hair.

One explanation, anyway. :o .

Crap. I wish my asian genes would have cut down on the amount of hair growing on my body.

Yeah it showed Jack shaving in an episode too. But how the hell doesn't his hair get longer? And better still how does he get it cut 'cause a lot of the time it's pretty short... I supppose Kate could do it 'cause she was wanting to cut Sawyer's.

A man's facial hair grows in accordance with his genes from his momma and daddy. Asians in particular are known NOT to have facial hair, but some do, depended on their nationality of their Asian roots.

I LOL last night when I saw Jin's facial hair. IT's like TPTB are really listening to everyone on line.

I was actually very surprised to see Jin's facial hair. That's more facial hair than I've ever seen on most Asian males.

While I think that Daniel Dae Kim looks very hot either way, the whole stubble thing in The Whole Truth was a bit incongruent with the last time we saw him, during The Long Con - those two episodes are separated by just a few days, after all.

Even in the Whole Truth I at first thought that Jin went back and forth with the facial hair look. When Jin was on the beach with Sawyer and Bernard it looked like he was clean shaven, with Sun when he ran back to her garden to confront her he looked hirsute, again. However, upon re-watching (see we so do need reruns)) I saw that his facial hair was on him but that it was slicked down maybe by the ocean sray.
