Can't remember where I heard it, but supposedly one of the main characters is going to die-off sometime soon. I think having Michael die and Sun and Jin takeover the care and raising of Walt would say a lot to the television viewership.

the news of a main characters death has been greatly exaggerrated.

but really, i can't see it being michael...the creative team has more potential with the michael/walt relationship than the walt/sun/jin relationship, especially with a michael/sun flirtation going on.

my money would be on locke, claire, or jin. but that's just what my gut is telling me.

Boy Jekelish that's good news. We've just started getting background on the major characters. I'd hate to loose one now.

I idea of Sun and Jin taking responsibility fot Walt is because there is tension among the African/American and the Korean communities in the greater Los Angeles area. This would go a long way to quell that hostility.

It looks like they have been planning to kill someone off from the beginning. The rumors haave been around the boards for a while.

no way it's Locke. There is just no way.

Why not Locke? Or any ot the other lostaways for that matter? They are only fictional characters, after all. Also, there is yet to be a Character that "carries" the show. With such a large cast it is quite easy to lose a main character with out adversely affecting the watchability of the show. It wouldn't be like killing Spock.

I think that we should start a thread on who is going to die and how they are going to be offed. Kind of like a Lost "dead pool". I think I'll do just that.

News of death rumors is not exaggerated. JJ Abrahams himself said that it was unrealistic to assume that all 14 would manage to avoid disaster. So -- the big deal is which one?

I am moving this to Spoilers since technically, yes this is a spoiler.

I think that the person who dies in homecoming (the body bag in the promo) is boone. At first I was thinking it was ethan killed by charlie but then ppl looked upset when the body was being brought across the beach. Plus I haven't seen boone in any of the up coming pictures.

I personally believe that person who dies in Homecoming is a redshirt and Kate could of killed them. We know a "good" person is suppossed to kill soon.

I think Boone is one of the people carrying the body...in the pics I have seenlost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=238&pos=22 (http://lost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=238&pos=22)

Yeah, it looks to me like Boone, Sayid and Locke are carrying the body bag. From what I've seen as far as promo pics go for the upcoming episodes, I don't think it'll be one of the main 14 who die next week in Homecoming. My reasoning behind this is that I've seen all of the main 14 (aside from Boone) in promo pics for Outlaws and In Translation. I think its either going to be Boone (if that wasn't really him in the promo pic posted above), Ethan, or one of the red shirts. I think the main character death will be closer to the end of the season.

As for Michael not being the one to die, I don't really know what I think. It would be really sad if he died because of Walt and because they finally seem to have come to an understanding of some sort, but I do think it would recieve the desired affect. I would assume the writers are hoping to stir up all the loyal viewers with a really sad and unexpected death, and Michael fits that. Also, I think it would be really neat for Sun and Jin to take over raising Walt. It might help fix their marriage. Also, I know this is probably irrelevent, but from an interview I saw with Harold Perrineau, he has died so far in the majority of TV shows/movies he has played in. An example would be in that movie where he has to survive in the wilderness (I think its called On the Edge) and he is eaten by a bear....

What a marvelous idea that Sun and Jin guide/raise Walt.

I just hate that Perrineau always gets the death scene. Does his agent have that in his contracts? Got to die?

But, after having seen the promo pics, I am now worried that it's going to be Jack. Did you see that one of Kate? She is not only staring off, but her forehead is crinkled. Someone she cares about has had something happen.

I was completely convinced it wasn't Jack, but now? I really don't know.

it's not boone cuz he's in the promo pics of outlaws: www.lost-media.com/module...217&pos=20 (http://www.lost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=217&pos=20)
so it couldn't be him in the body bag :\

has anybody else thought of the idea that just because a character dies that that doesn't mean we'll never see them again? i mean, isn't the island all voo-dooish? locke being able to walk again and everything...

hmmm, just a thought.

I also thought Kate looked a little distressed, but maybe she is that way because she killed the person in the body bag by accident.

I was just thinking the same thing, and it could still be Ethan that was killed because, even though Kate is some kind of criminal, she seems to not want to see anyone get physically hurt if she can avoid it.

>I also thought Kate looked a little distressed…“

I call that the typical Kate look. I think that’s the only look she knows.

I also don’t think that the one in the “body bag” is one of the 14. I think that death will happen at the end of the season. Personally I’m hoping it’s Sawyer that dies but unfortunately for me I don’t think they’ll kill off Sawyer.

Thats hilarious, I was too busy looking for boone in the body bag that I missed him carrying it. Plus when I read the episode details at tvtome Boone is mentioned.

I'm one of those who would enjoy seeing Sawyer go ..
I think the Actor is great but as for Sawyer I see no reason for his still existing and see nothing worthwhile about the character so sorry if I had my choice I'd enjoy seeing Sawyer be killed off ..
