We've all seen Saywer's 'nasty' side already: he hoards supplies, makes inappopriate comments and so on.
But episode 7 made me think there's way more to him than meets the eye. He went to Kate to actually tell her about Jack and the cave-in, I think, but she immediately talked him down, which caused him to instantly revert backt to his nasty self. But I think we'll discover next week that he's actually a pretty decent guy and has his reasons for acting the way he does.
We'll see...
