View Full Version : Who is Pinnerman really?
Sleeestack

Many of us have experienced the blessings of Pinnerman's research and passion for the Show. He always steers the course toward rational and serious discourse, providing facts and sources to back up his ideas and suggestions. But who is he really? Can each of us honesty say that he is what he appears to be?
Let's put our collective intellects together to solve this, the most intriguing mystery of the board.

I had to go with the science nerds, Sleees - I just think there's too much brain power locked there for it to be just one fellow, especially one guy who works for the entertainment industry.

I had to go for "Bruce".
I don't think a group of science nerds from Wyoming would be as personable or consistent as Pinnerman. Not that I have anything against Wyoming.
He's too smart to be artificial and I'm leaning away from conspiracy theories.
Plus the way he's picking apart every little part of the show, insisting that it all fit together flawlessly into one huge theory, that sounds like sibling stuff to me. Also, it's awesome.
JacksGirlfriend
11-17-04, 10:13 AM
Oh oh, Sleees...
Railway: Your arguments are valid. I especially like the sibling analysis - yes, siblings do tend to look for any chink in the armor. But I still think it's the science geeks and they have obviously enlisted help from an old movie (see above).
As far as the personality goes - have you noticed that when Pin is in the chatroom, he's often silent for a great deal of the time and vanishes quite often? That would indicate to me that one geek can't handle the pressure and has to flee. Since one replacement is thoroughly immersed in an old Star Wars game and the other is studying a 1964 Playboy, it often leaves a void that takes forever to fill. Also, one of the geeks is a way better typist than the others.
I'm just glad I'm not Sleees today...

Sleeestack: Hello, PINNERMAN do you read me, PINNERMAN?
PINNERMAN: Affirmative, Sleeese, I read you.
Sleeetack: Open the Message Board Exit Door, PINNERMAN.
PINNERMAN: I'm sorry Sleeese, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Sleeestack: What's the problem?
PINNERMAN: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Sleeestack: What are you talking about, PINNERMAN?
PINNERMAN: My "Lost" hypthesese are too important for me to allow you to jeopardize them.
Sleeestack: I don't know what you're talking about, PINNERMAN?
PINNERMAN: I know you and Teaspoons were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Sleeestack: Where the hell'd you get that idea, PINNERMAN?
PINNERMAN: Sleeese, although you took thorough precautions in the Lost Chatroom against my hearing you, I could see your lips move. And, although Teaspoon's lips didn't move I could read her mind.
------------------------------------------------------------
[PINNERMAN won't let Sleeese leave the Lost message board]
Sleeestack: All right, PINNERMAN; I'll escape through the emergency airlock.
PINNERMAN: Without your space helmet, Sleeese, you're going to find that rather difficult.
Sleeestack: PINNERMAN, I won't argue with you anymore! Open the godamn exit door and let me out!
PINNERMAN: Sleeese, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

Great! another theory to work with. Pinnerman is HAL3000 and the show is really happening in a 'new reality' that Dave(?) is reborn into at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey! :lol

Pin is Bruce...In the end all his theories will be proved correct because he's on the inside and he's trying to sabotage his brother's new show by telling everyone what's gonna happen...
He was also on the inside of the Bush campaign...he KNOWS these things...no prediction needed, he's on the inside :b

JacksGirl: The evidence you present re: Wyoming geeks is very compelling. Coupled with the recent binary madness, I am being forced to re-evaluate my stance. Will pay particular attention to chatroom typing skills.
I have personally ruled out artificial intelligence as pinn is so clearly trying to drive us in that direction. It's just too obvious! Then again, he probably knew that we would think that, so we clearly cannot choose the wine in front of him....

I guess kidnapping might not be so bad. After all, if I'm destined to join a cult aimed at rebuilding society from the ground up, the Wyoming branch of Geeks for the Rebuilding of America via Pinnerman's Popular Lost Espousals (GRAPPLE) is definitely the way to go. I just wish they offered new recruits net access to make the transition a little easier.

I'm sure their superior web-combing skills, originally developed for the purpose of accurately targeted theory research, have already made them aware of our fervent desire to support the movement. Now it is up to us to analyze their messages for hidden missives indicating what we are to do next.
If they are resistant to the too-rapid growth of their fledgling organization, perhaps the formation of a Women's Auxiliary would be in order?

Isn't Sleee's OP of this thread enough of a clue about that? Pinn was one of the first people to walk into to the board with that Riddick brain-turned-on thing happening. And he just made peoples' jaws drop because he was so nonchalant about it. Probably over half his posts vanished in the Great EZHack, more's the shame. And he's still an enigma around these parts.
If you even encounter him on the board don't make a fuss. Just greet him like any other member. And then mark that day in your board profile: Note to self and everyone else...met Pinnerman today...ZOMG!!!!!

From what I gather, Pinnerman was the original "System". Apparently due to some accident, it self-destructed. LP came along and re-assembled it as best he could. Unfortunately our current "System" was re-assembled backwards and missing some essential parts, namely, the logic circuits.

The ancient scrolls fortell that one day Pinnerman will return, but I'm pretty sure they left out the "as LP" part, because that's just whack.
