What a fun series! I don't recall seeing the guy playing Lucifer before, but he is well-cast. He's deliciously evil and fun and a bit vulnerable! And what did he look like when he was dealing with the killer? I could barely see his reflection in the glass, but I know it's something I wouldn't want to come face-to-face with.

This is a procedural police story with a hell of a twist! I like it. I'm entertained and will continue to watch -- and Lucifer is hot! :D

I've got it taped behind the X-Files, E2. Glad you liked it, Sandi.

Oh, if I recall from the promos, the female detective isn't swayed by his charm, is that right? How did that play out?

I'm going to try to keep an open mind about this. That'll be hard -- Lucifer on the beach in Australia is one of my favorite scenes in all of "Sandman." And Maz without her half-mask is a tough sell for me, though I can see why they couldn't have a tv character with her mouth half muffled. The actress would have to learn "Maz-speak" and they'd need to subtitle her. (On the page, you can take as long as you need to decode her. Though since Gaiman's Lucifer, in his responses, often repeats back to her what she's just said, you don't really need a translation.)

I'll have to keep reminding myself how wonderful Mike Carey's spin-off from Gaiman's Lucifer is. After the first few issues, he pretty much made the characters his own, and went on to create a great series.

I watched some of episode 1 months ago. Another show that will default to OnDemand. :(

Just finished watching the Pilot.

Loved every millisecond Tom Ellis (Lucifer) was onscreen. For some reason I can't explain, his accent is perfect for the character. I also love his wit and demeanor. And how can you not love his corvette! Although, I did find it strange he admits to everything. His immortality! His manipulation of women. Exactly who he is! Loved the scenes with the psychiatrist, especially the last one. :rofl1:

Now, on the contrary, I thought the female lead was lacking in every respect. She's a poor actress. Found the chemistry between them contrived. Plus, I couldn't understand a single word from the daughter. I know kids missing their two front teeth is suppose to be cute, and that's probably right, but "bully" was the only word I could make out.

The show reminds me a lot of a recently cancelled series, Forever. Sandi will definitely remember that one.

I'll watch a couple more just to see what Lucifer has up his sleeve. Also, I'd like to know why God can't force him to go back to Hell. Oh, and the angel God put in charge of getting Lucifer back, what's his deal? You could feel the animosity between them. Did he crave the position before it was given to Lucifer?

Yes, me too. Unfortunately Police procedurals (even with a twist) are getting very old for me. Also, like FOREVER, there is no jeopardy, no threat? I'm not sure if a police "Bang Bang Shoot'em up" series can survive without that element. Also what is Lucifer's role in this, chief instigator?

I kind of wish they would do a series based on "The Devil's Advocate". Now that would be a new
twist.

Speak of the devil! (hehe).
