I didn't like this movie because while it started out with some interesting themes like the "collateral damage" of innocent citizens while the the super heros saved the world, it degenerated into a show case for introduction of new super heros for eventual more movies to be centered around.

Too much action with little story line imo
Spoiler: spoiler for film
They also were too afraid to kill off any major characters, say like Cap. they eventually will kill main characters off but this was a perfect opportunity to show true stakes in these films.

I was impressed and appreciated the callbacks to the original. These films made me completely forget about Tim Burton's abomination.
well this now peaked my interest!

I'm a big fan of the original with Heston and when I was young I even liked the other films they made. This movie has some logic flaws but nothing major imo.

This one kept me interested throughout, which is hard to do with CGI characters.

I'm a huge fan of the new ape they introduce in the film too. He cracked my ass up.

Gerald's Game 9/10

Great adaptation of the Stephen King novel. I probably read the book 25 years ago, and don't remember details, but remember some of it and remember really liking it. The movie was very well done, very creepy and very enjoyable. Highly recommend it to King fans.

It's on Netflix (Netflix Original).

Jungle 8/10, perhaps it was my lowered expectations, or the setting wherein I watched it, or perhaps it was my general demeanor at the time, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

The Entire Saw Lineup - eh, ok. sometimes the traps are interesting, the storyline is not. the guy who plays Jigsaw is good at being creepy. 5/10

Logan
6 out of 10

I am a fan of the X-Men series and especially enjoy Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, but I did not enjoy this one. So much gratuitous violence. While the first scene of The Wolverine taking care of those thugs was nice, the rest became repetitive.

This movie used violent action so much it was repetitive and boring. The story line was shabby. Portions of it were very interesting like the stuff with Charles X and his care taker and it kept me watching. I wanted to find out more about the girl, Laura, but I ended up shutting it off. Unfortunately it was right before it ended.

And I counted 30+ f-bombs dropped.
I guess the script writer didn't have anything better to say.

The Incredibles 6.5/10

I actually enjoyed a "family-friendly" rip-off of (or homage to) Watchmen. The art was great, the characters were fun. The plot was a little thin but not bad overall. I'm actually mildly disappointed that there's no sequel (yet).

________

Interesting that my positive review of 6.5 follows 9mm's negative review of 6/10. Funny how we all have our own scales and a great reason to write more than just a score.
