Eric Clapton

TPTB (Mrs. Hodgepodge) and I attended this concert Friday, 09/15/17.

I'd never seen him in concert before, so this was definitely on my "bucket-list.

Man-man, he's still a genius with a guitar. And, his voice is still pretty good too.

Had a great time, and many memories were brought back.

He did both the original and acoustic versions of Layla. The acoustic version will bring tears to your eyes.

Re: Eric Clapton

I'm not a huge fan, but there's no denying his talent nor accomplishments.

All my favorite Clapton albums are Cream albums, not a big fan of his solo work at all.

My favorite Clapton song of all time, though, is technically neither Cream nor solo...

Re: Eric Clapton

I envy you getting to see this concert, Hodgepodge. "Layla" in any form is one of my all-time favorite things in life.

(When I first saw the thread title, I immediately thought the worst. "Oh, no. Please not Eric Clapton." )

That is a great time to see him play.
I also am envious.
Did you have a favorite song from the evening?

This album I played so often in high school. I actually borrowed it from my girl friend's brother and didn't give it back for a whole year.

Maturn, yes, Layla is amazing
