OH, my husband just told me his son grabbed the stick and went out to kill some bad guys. Oh, it is not hidden anymore.

More conversation from TPTB

Quote:
What made you want to end this series where you started it, with a new generation of Grimm taking over in the form of adult Kelly and adult Diana?

JIM KOUF: I think it was a nice fairy tale ending bookend to the series, so I think kind of always knew we wanted to end [here]. We have these kids; what is going to happen to them? Are they going to continue on? So I think that was the idea from the beginning.

DAVID GREENWALT: That's the big question: what did happen to Diana and Kelly? And we also always had the image of the book itself closing, and that being the final image, except for saying "thank you" to the fans. Then to go not only full circle in terms of a myth/legend/fairy tale but actually go out to the future and have a guy say, "What you've been seeing is all true. I know it happened because my father told me," that always struck me as really strong, kind of an oral history and written history of these kinds of tales.
And yes, the international fan group that kept this show alive. I really enjoyed how TPTB said thank you to everyone.

I enjoyed the finale. Was a nice send off episode with a fairy tale happy ending. Just as a show like Grimm deserved!

Re: Grimm - NBC Friday, Season 6 Discussion Thread

Well, I guess my view is a little different. I was really disappointed in the first 58 minutes of the finale. I got no enjoyment watching every single character swiftly dispatched, and when I saw Monroe and Rosalee attack the Destroyer, I said out loud - if they die, I KNOW this is either not real or will be magically reversed. I'm glad they're not all dead, but I always think it's kind of cheap to put the viewer through the emotional wringer and then go - Surprise! Redo! Meh.

Anyway, the scene at the end with Kelly and Diana was very cool and basically what I wanted to see. Everyone is still together, the triplets arrived safely, Diana somehow probably learned to use her power judiciously, and Nick and Adalind are together. And they didn't mention Eveiette, so maybe she got hit by a bus or something. I can hope!

They didn't really explain the Royals, and Black Claw, and what the heck Diana is and all the related prophecies, but I think they just ran out of time. And is Kelly just a Grimm, or is there some hexenbiest in there?

I will miss this series a lot - kind of a creepy, monster/police procedural on the surface, but such a sweet heart and really lucky chemistry among the regulars.

His name is escaping me, but I saw the actor that plays Nick was cast in a fall pilot, I hope it's something good!

Nick is played by David Giuntoli and that new series -- "Mission Control". LINK We'll just have to check it out! Thanks for the heads-up.
