Re: Sleepy Hollow

yes, two hours of new tv shows on Fox. Thank goodness someone started up the new shows. Wonder how many commercials will be in it?
I've been counting 10 minutes of show to 5 minutes of commercials.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Ok, this was some goofy fun, I loved this incarnation of the fourth horseman, only now that he's manifested in modern times, he's also strapped with an assault rifle, pump-action shotgun and a Glock, 'cause racking that slide and blasting away tombstones just looks so much more diabolical than merely chopping off heads with a glowing hot axe. Teensy lead Nicole Beharie and Lurch Clancy Brown sure didn't get to do their buddy cop routine for long, John Cho didn't survive the episode either. Looking forward to more nocturnal witchery from Ichabod's missus, she of the heaving bodice. Has that priest lived consciously from revolutionary times through to the present? I liked this.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

I liked this premiere. The mix of a DaVinci Code type of secrets and Revolutionary War history was performed with great acting chops. The mystery had begun earlier and the sheriff had a secret file drawer. However the sheriff is gone now and the young deputy will have to put things together herself. I was surprised at how this first episode went and that ao many had accepted and actually seen the headless guy.

The Revolutionary War and the Salem Witch Trials were brought together. Knowing that they are not that close in time, but close enough to make this a good twist. I've watched too much Vampire Diaries and the addition of the witches, while intriguing, it made it seem very much like that VD show.

The costuming was fabulous especially on the headless guy. He looked very debonaire in his red coat. He has a great body, lol that is all he has.

Looking forward to the next epi. Although this show needs to be very careful with their addition of comedy. It was in there in a small amount, but could easily be taken over board, like the Boston Tea Party.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

I had fun with it, too. If the rest of the season can keep up with what we saw in the premiere, I'll watch it. It reminded me of the Da Vinci Code, too -- I think it was mostly the attitude of Ichabod. It surprised me when we learned he was a bit of a smartass, and I kinda liked that. LOL It kept me interested the whole hour and the dialogue didn't make me groan (not like Under the Dome, which we watched right after). I think it has potential -- at least for something fun and not so serious.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

The mysteries:

Where is Mrs. Crane trapped and what was the thing that came after her?

What woke the headless horseman?

Where is the lady cop's sister? She must surely play a role in all this.
