Re: Richard III

Austen is buried at Winchester Cathedral, inspiration for this truly excellent song, which was played at her funeral:

I did say "mostly" faithful, to be fair. Suffolk is a major character (possibly the most likable character to survive more than one season), and though it's never explicitly spelled out, Hal8 does refer to him as both "Brother" and "Brother-in-law" during the series. He's Hal8's right hand for a lot of show, pretty much whenever he's at court, and he's the best one Hal had excepting perhaps Sir Thomas More.

James never appears on screen, but his exploits are important to the plot, and at one point Henry bursts out something about James having his sister. Whether it was a hostage situation or marriage or any other kind of arrangement is never detailed.

But thanks for pointing that out. The increasingly inaccurately named The Tudors...

The historical inaccuracies that most galled me were when Hal8 was depicted in a much less misogynistic light than is deserved.

gift cards make great gifts both for shoppers who are lazy and/or have a lot of gifts to buy. They're also a shrewd choice if there are individuals in your life for whom it is difficult to shop. When bought through the astore, they also help support this site, which isn't self-sufficient and doesn't hold fund-raisers or any of that other crap.

Please consider doing at least some of your holiday shopping through our astore this year.

Oh, for all your bluster, i sincerely hope you wouldn't do away with Elizabeth I, one of the great monarchs of all time from any perspective.

Plus, the note sports a quote from a "Pride and Prejudice" character about how she loves to read -- except it's from the villainnette, who's only pretending to like books to try to lure Mr. Darcy away from Elizabeth.

This is a tragedy. Fitting, i suppose, that it's a tragedy, but a tragedy nonetheless. No wonder the Scots want independence.
