Sunday, June 03 10/9C
Quote:
Widowed only a year, Longmire is a man in psychic repair that buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. Struggling since his wife's death and at the urging of his daughter, Cady, Longmire knows that the time has come to turn his life around. With the help of Vic, a female deputy new to the department, he becomes reinvigorated about his job and committed to running for re-election. When Branch, an ambitious, young deputy decides to run against him for sheriff, Longmire feels betrayed but remains steadfast in his dedication to the community. Longmire often turns to close friend and confidant Henry Standing Bear for support as he sets out to rebuild both his personal and professional life, one step at a time. Robert Taylor stars.

Re: Longmire

Some Hollywood writer types have obviously been spending their vacations in Mt Rainier National Park.

Re: Longmire

Good show, so far. Robert Taylor plays Longmire perfectly. Nice to look at too.

Re: Longmire

it was not bad. the guy who played the sheriff was pretty good. i wonder what happened to him? i did not get that part. did they even say? where did he get the scars on his back?

i liked the part where he had to tell that woman about her husband. that was sad. the tear on the boot was neat - in a sad way. never seen that before. he did a awesome job actin during that part

but wow they need to hire somebody who knows more about guns. like me maybe <waves>

OMG! - lets just pick up a spent case and INSTANTLY know EXACTLY what gun fired it LOL

then he said it was a .45-70 and its really old. a antique. uh no - you can buy .45-70 ammo at walmart! LOL

we have a .45-70 lever action rifle. its actually one of my fave guns. alot of recoil and kinda hurts but i like lever action guns

then he says it was fired from a sharps rifle and is a black powder cartridge but its not. but you can buy replica sharps rifles that fire the .45-70 but they are not black powder cause the .45-70 is not a black powder cartridge

i looked this next part up

the sharps rifle fired the .50-90 and .50-70 which was black powder like he said

so they goofed that part up

Re: Longmire

This show was filmed about 100 miles away from where I live. It was filmed around Rawlins Wyoming! My son actually hunts in part of that area.

Re: Longmire

LOL I never pay attention to gun stuff. My .22 semi is all I need to know. As far as the type of rifle, write a note to the writers of the show. Tell them if they want to look real they need to be real....and accurate.
