Favorite scenes in LOST

A couple of my favorites are:

Sawyer shoots Tom in the chest and says "That's for taking the kid off the raft" when he, Hurley, and Juliette rescue Sayid, Jin, and Bernard.
Tom had just raised his hands, and said "OK, I give up". Then Sawyer shot him, and told him why, keeping his promise to settle up with him.

Hugo comes up and says something like "But, he surrendered."
Sawyer replies "I didn't believe him."

Also moments before, when Hurley drives the VW van through the brush and runs down one of the "others" gunmen.

(I am binge watching the show again on Netflix and am up to S3 E23 and just watched those scenes)

Please add some of your favorites.

Yeah, Hurley features in many of my favorite scenes. He is one of my favorite characters in the show.
I don't recall the episode or the specifics right now, but in one scene, Sawyer makes a wise crack on a sensitive issue to Hurley after Hurley comes to him desperate for help.
And he said the wrong thing at the wrong time that time. Hurley charges Sawyer, bear hugs him and takes him down, then starts pounding him. Sawyer is helpless to stop him, and is lucky to scramble away.
Like everyone else, Sawyer had his good and bad points, and I grew to like him for his good points. But he could be an insensitive and uncaring azzhole a lot of the time. It was great to see Hurley take him down a notch.

Oh, I also love just about any scene where Ben Linus gets punched in the face, especially when Rousseau knocked him silly for calling Alex his daughter.

In The Brig, pretty much every scene, but especially between Sawyer and Cooper.

The magic lighthouse with the candidate wheel and view screen. That's where the show really goes off the rails and further into the twilight zone. I also liked the scene / episode when Charlie gets blown up.

Yeah, I love the way they dove tail all the back stories together with amazing coincidences, Cooper being Locke's dad, AND the conman who ruined Sawyer's life.
And Sawyer does finally get his revenge. Great scene.

I liked it when Hurley sprang across a log (or something) and yelled "I'm spry!"

giggled.

Re: Favorite scenes in LOST

I loved it when Michael and the freighter died together.

But my favoritest scene of all time is still when Ben and Kate have a nice breakfast together. She had to put handcuffs on herself if she wanted coffee... that scene.

Second favorite is probably Kate crawling through the ductwork. Or maybe after the bee attack, Kate has to lose her shirt because, "It was full of Bees!" and Charlie quips, "I'd have guessed C's." Kate mudwrestling with Juliet is up near the top, as was the reveal of the blast door map, red herring or no.

There are a plethora of honorable mention moments. Nikki and Paolo's burial; anything involving Kate and/or Ana L wearing fairly little; the birth of Aaron; Locke and Kate talking before either of them get lowered into the newly opened "Hatch" (Swan) station; the opening scene in s2 of Desmond waking up and doing his routine, but then it pulls back and we realize he's living INSIDE THE F***ING HATCH... there are a LOT more, i didn't even mention one moment from I Do, which is one of my favorite episodes, nor did i mention any of the scenes that are densely layered and involve multiple layers of dramatic irony, which seemed practically like a minor motif in the show as a whole.

____

Might be interesting to have a "least favorite moments" thread too. Obviously Michael's murders in the Swan marked a pretty low moment for the great majority of LOST fans. I don't think i've ever heard anyone say they didn't like Libby and Ana L was a controversial figure, but she had a lot of fans, too.

I think a lot of people here would rate all of s6 as a least favorite moment, but i liked it overall. One of the big disappointments of it for me was having Ilana go out Arntz-style.

Re: Favorite scenes in LOST

Another favorite is the swimming scene with Kate and Sawyer. Kate stripped down to her bikini bottom underwear for the swim. Ain't nature wonderful?
I find her so incredibly attractive. I am surprised there were only two guys fighting over her. I sure would have made my play for her if I had been there.
