Nsguy, isn't this a new take on the Wizard of Oz story?

It is, it's supposed to be a modern, dark take on the Wizard of Oz.

Looking forward to Vincent D'Onofrio as the Wizard, he's a great actor and he usually makes whatever he appears in a little better.

I happen to agree. I personally loved him in the first iteration of Daredevil as Wilson Fisk.

I'm standing guard, Vickie.

I'm actually looking forward to how the story is going to be told. I saw a character picture, and I'm waiting with bated breath.

Re: Emerald City - NBC Friday

I was being distracted by the flowing beer and karaoke singers last night when I noticed this show on tv. It certainly caught my attention, also when I learned the name, I knew it from here. Thanks.

I'll be checking this one out fo sho.

Re: Emerald City - NBC Friday

Boy, was this a visually stunning premiere episode or what!

Loved Dorothy as well. The actress playing her is very attractive. Thought the idea of replacing the usually small Toto with a German Shepherd great.

Obviously, I've seen the Wizard of Oz many times. I've even seen Wicked in the theater. But, this is a very dark version of the tale.

Oh, and I knew Tip had to be a girl, she was just too beautiful.

I'm definitely going to check out the next episode. Again, it's too beautiful to miss.

Almost forgot! The Yellow Brick Road covered with opium poppy, says a lot about how dark this series is going to be.

I totally LOVED it. I need to go back and watch it again to make sure I missed nothing. Toto is my favorite but I am biased since I am owned by 3 shepherds....LOL

I really loved the take on the characters! I can't wait to see more.
