Re: Star Trek Continues - Webseries

With the Five Year Mission complete, Star Trek Continues shows the transition between the original series and the movie era and leaves our main characters where they were when "The Motion Picture" begins and explores the events that leads to it. For instance, why does Spock take a leave of absence and go back to Vulcan to practice deep mental techniques. Why don't we see characters introduced in this series in the later films. To Boldly Go successfully provides answers to all of these questions.

Here are some significant moments from Star Trek Continues: To Boldly Go part 2 in its transition to the Motion Picture and film era..

Gene Roddenberry always wanted to show a saucer separation was not able to show it because of the series' premature cancellation. Here it is in all its glory.

The damaged USS Enterprise in the Motion Picture style Space Dock.

Newly appointed Admiral Kirk address his crew at Star Fleet

Admiral Kirk's final survey of the decommissioned USS Enterprise bridge.

The 11 episodes of the Star Trek Continues webseries is a flawless tribute and continuation of the original series. As a fan made series, it stands alone in its production qualities and storytelling. With a fraction of the cost of the original episodes, they managed to successfully stand up and compliment the original series.

For me personally, I consider these episodes legitimate and canon.
Rod Roddenberry's (Gene's son) expressed his opinion on the series..

Quote:
I do have to say, and I said this after 'Lolani', I'm pretty damn sure my dad would consider this canon. The fact that you do stories that mean something, that have depth, that make us all think a little bit, I really think he would applaud you guys, and I applaud you guys. And, as far as I am concerned, it is canon. So thank you.

Re: Star Trek Continues - Webseries

I'm posting a few wrap-up videos of the series.

Another amazing score by Andy Farber and an interesting interview with Craig Huxley and his "Blaster Beam".

The Series Wrap.

And here's a behind the scenes recap of the entire series. Excellent music and editing and very uplifting. Definitely a favorite. Enjoy!

gift cards make great gifts both for shoppers who are lazy and/or have a lot of gifts to buy. They're also a shrewd choice if there are individuals in your life for whom it is difficult to shop. When bought through the astore, they also help support this site, which isn't self-sufficient and doesn't hold fund-raisers or any of that other crap.

Please consider doing at least some of your holiday shopping through our astore this year.

Re: Star Trek Continues - Webseries

Thanks Mr Mo.

And as a Christmas present to their fans, Star Trek Continues has made all episodes, music, artwork and scripts available as a free download here.

I've already downloaded the music and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. It features original music by Vic Mignogna and Andy Farber. The first song is "A Thousand Years in a Day" is composed by Vic Mignogna and sung by Michael Forest as Apollo. What a way to start out.
