Surprisingly, we have both a masher and a peeler. Who knew?
You forgot the garlic powder.

Please don't forget the garlic powder.

Butter, salt, white pepper, garlic powder, and milk.

Don't forget the milk, either.

And please use white pepper. Black pepper in mashed potatoes is all level of Wrong.

Sixty people is a f-ing lot.

We'll prob have 15 at most.

I make the crab soup and Dad makes oysters for appetizers.

My sister does a turkey but it's really all about the duck (with ginger and basil, stuffed with oranges).
I'll be making my awesome rolls that catnap refuses to try to make.

And then all the various sides, featuring my grandma's corn pudding.

And Cat, peel the potatoes the evening before, and put them in water in the fridge. They will be fine.

Or, just go back to that post Warty made about when to do everything, because that was spot-on.

3. Wednesday - Go ahead and prep the stuffing and refrigerate in the casserole dish you will serve it in. Any green beans, carrots, broccoli... blanch and then shock with cold water. This will shorten the cook time on Thursday. If you going to brine the turkey, do it now. Get the bird ready to go. If you have to peel potatoes, go ahead and do that and then store them in water in the fridge. This will also help remove extra starch.

4. Thanksgiving day, get up and cook the bird. Allow 45 minutes to an hour of resting time for the bird after it is cooked. During the resting time, cook the casseroles, stuffing in the now empty oven(s) and use the stove top to finish the other veggies you have prepped before hand. Everything should finish at about the same time that the bird resting period is over.
This right here.

Oh thank goodness, thanks for finding that. I'm going to bookmark that now.

Remember Halloween, when all I had to do was buy a few bags of candy? Good times.

OK so I'm not a binge TV watcher, but my hubby, my younger son, and I just watched all the rest of the Stranger Things episodes and I'm emotionally drained. I'll have to catch up later and find out what white pepper is.
