Good luck, cat!

Good news here - my mom is home after her hip replacement surgery. She lives in a continuing care facility, so she's independent but plenty of help when she needs it (meals can be delivered, home health aide a few times a week...). She is officially off my worry list which is nice because I have quite a few other things on the list.
The bolded.

They brought back a lot of memories for me, the most striking of which was my nature as a wanderer. I look back at my life now and see how many things that have wandered into my life, and how many more that I wandered away from.

I once was an artist... I wasn't great, but I wasn't bad either. I had to work at it as it didn't come naturally to me, but looking back on those drawings now I see that I could do some things. So once I was an artist and then one day I just wasn't any longer. I just quit drawing and moved on to something else. I wish now I hadn't quit.

I once played music... I played the piano and the guitar. I took lessons for a couple of years, and worked quite hard at it for a little while. It was much like my drawing.. I wasn't a natural, but I could do technical things necessary to be competent. Once I played music, and then one day I just didn't any longer.

At one point in my life I was a tennis player... I stayed with this for a number of years and became good enough to win some regional and city championships. Athletics came naturally to me so this was something a bit different. I had always been a natural at sports. I played every one available to me, but tennis was one that I continued to play long after high school and college. Then one day I just quit, and I haven't picked up a racquet since. Sometimes I just stop and look at my tennis bag and trophies that sit in my garage, and it all seems so long ago... almost as if I was a different person.

I was also a writer... I did that for a fair amount of time and became quite the communicator with the written word. I was always able to tell a story and paint a vivid picture with words, keeping my readers engaged or so I was told. That too is something I quit doing and as I type these words I think that skill has left me as much as all the others.

I even wandered in and out of relationships.. often with seemingly no apparent reason other than it was just time for me to leave.

So the other day my dad was cleaning out his attic and he found some pictures I had drawn 35 or so years ago, and looking at them just made me feel sad.
I've been talking with Scotpgot a little about music and public domain. So this post sounds very very close to some song lyrics. They are personal and emotional and do tell a story. Combine some of this with a little of Mr Mo's post.
Pull out your pen and your guitar. Give a go.

anyways for the feelings you are having.

Re: What's New/Happy Valentine's Day!

Morning all.

So I tried Kimichi for my hurting stomach. It's not as bad as it sounds. I also bought lemon ginger tea. I hate tea but it wasn't awful either.

Look at me, expanding my horizons.

Will you keep eating kimchi? I think my days of that, um, stuff, are over. But I think all the probiotics have done me some good.
A newby at probiotic ingestion is recommended to go slow.
I hope you get the same.

You know, I think it did. Although I've been being VERY careful lately, so not sure what specific thing might be linked to feeling better. I've been eating tiny bits of only things like yogurt, blueberries, eggs, sweet potato, banana, and plain chicken and turkey.

I will keep eating the kimchi, I liked it. But small amounts for sure.

Monday I try acupuncture for this issue, to see if that helps.

I'm not one of those people who participates in stupid made up holidays.

Every day is National Drink Wine Day for me.

Hooray for a new life.

I'm not that fond of mac and cheese, but I say yes to pasta.
