Re: S2, EPISODE 9 DISCUSSION THREAD:

After Cameron finishes speaking with Derek on her cell phone, John asks 'what's up' and Cameron assures him nothing is wrong, and almost smiles at him. Never seen her come even close to smiling before.
Seen her wear boots before though. TPTB can quit doin' that anytime.

I'm concerned about Ellis. Doesn't he suspect that his new boss is a Terminator?? Or is he doing some kind of dangerous double-agent thing where he will try to stop her? I want to think it's the latter because he is no dumby!

Re: S2, EPISODE 9 DISCUSSION THREAD:

Cameron sure acts a lot different around John than Sarah.

How did Ellis pick up something as heavy as a terminator? How did his tiny car handle the weight in the trunk? If it was in the trunk when he pulled up to his house, Cameron should have noticed that something was seriously weighing down the car.

Re: S2, EPISODE 9 DISCUSSION THREAD:

They certainly avoided a time paradox and suspended doubt when Jesse suspiciously killed Future Charles Fisher instead of 2008 Fisher. I guess they could've killed young Fisher, but who knows how it would've changed the present time line? Perhaps the Terminators would've killed Reese after capture instead of saving him for Interrogation school. Does Jesse have ulterior, selfish motives to save Reese's life by not killing young Fisher? Could she be a "Gray" also, working for the machines like FutureFisher? Or could she herself be an infiltrating Terminator? Hmmmmm..

^ There was that scene where Reese pointed at a scar on her back and said that was new. Later she had surveillance pics of the family and shoved them under her bed.

I don't think she's a terminator, but I do think there is something else going on. Maybe she has willingly turned to their side or maybe the machines are holding something over her head, forcing her to work for them.

I think Cameron is totally in love with John and will ultimately make a fatal human-like mistake!

Yea, something is not right about her. And its not her lazy eye....I think she is a gray. Which i had thought about before, but didnt know they actually had a name for it or that there were others like that.

Re: S2, EPISODE 9 DISCUSSION THREAD:

The part I liked the best about the episode was after Cameron kicked that guy's ass (name?), she flipped him over on his stomach because of the turtle story John told her when they were driving.

Re: S2, EPISODE 9 DISCUSSION THREAD:

I recently recovered my DVDs from storage limbo and have been binge-watching T:TSCC. Another amazing science fiction series that got cancelled, I really liked how Cameron is constantly exploring the boundaries of a machine attempting to exist as a human. This episode, S2E9, has her waving her foot and hand out the window while John's driving the car, and she's trying to explain to him that she really feels things.

I loved this bit, I can't help but recall the Voight-Kampff scene in Blade Runner where a similar anecdote is used in the test to detect artificial persons. Man, they'd really better have a Cameron model terminator in the upcoming Schwarzenegger reentry into the Terminator franchise.
