That's a difficult thing to pull off, and I thought it had the right combination of emotional heft and distancing to do it.
Sounds a bit closer to P.K. Dick than the original, other than the 'too long' comment.

gift cards make great gifts both for shoppers who are lazy and/or have a lot of gifts to buy. They're also a shrewd choice if there are individuals in your life for whom it is difficult to shop. When bought through the astore, they also help support this site, which isn't self-sufficient and doesn't hold fund-raisers or any of that other crap.

Wonder, 6.5/10 - Very well done after school special type film. There isn't anything new here, hence the slightly subpar rating, but it is heartwarming nonetheless.

Hostiles, 7/10 - I wanted this movie to be better than it was. it's a good western about a military man escorting a former enemy in battle, who's been released from many years in captivity, back to his homeland. I enjoyed the film but it didn't knock my socks off and it's easily forgotten.

Justice League, 7/10 - Super hero movies just don't do it for me much anymore. However, this is an origin story which always adds an entertaining element. I liked it well enough but I probably won't bother watching the rest of the franchise.

The Scent Of Rain & Lightening, 6/10 - Slow burn mystery/suspense tale about wealthy farming family with many secrets, including murder. The flashbacks were too much. Was sometimes hard to tell what was current and what was in the past. Sorting out the characters was also a challenge. The ending is predictable and dull despite it's attempt to be intense. I blame the editing.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

I know everybody gets to assign their own rating metric, but i'm curious, John. How is 6.5 under par on a scale of 0 - 10? Am i misunderstanding something? Did i miss where your scale isn't 0 - 10? Asked out of genuine ignorance, i'm sure! ETA: I understand golf pars are often better than a technical average... does that bear upon my question?

Barring special interest, if it's under a 7, it usually isn't worth seeing.

Radius 7.5. (Netflix). It's a Canadian film about a man who wakes up after a car accident and doesn't remember his past and discovers that any person or creature who comes within a certain radius (50 ft) dies. An interesting premise, good action , and a nice twist.
