You're right. I was thinking of something else.

S06E09 "Chapter 9"

If Tindall (Paulson) had just kept her mouth shut, there would have been two survivors, instead of just Lee. I guess Lee doesn't remember eating that -- I think it was pig heart -- and carrying out the wood goddesses commands?

It was good to see Taissa Farmiga as Sophie in last night's episode -- so brave and stupid. I would have thought being impaled upon that stake would have killed her -- her friend too. But no, they lived to suffer being burnt alive. Their fate was definitely the worst death possible, IMO. It had to be incredibly painful.

So, where does it go from here? Lee can tell any story she wants to as long as it doesn't conflict with anything on any tape recovered. I wonder, since she still has to be under the wood goddesses' spell, if she'll return to the woods around the house or if she'll stay in the city and kill people there?

3 days in hell? it felt like 30.

the only thing that'll save this season is another round of this being fake so that satire becomes the only definition.

Re: American Horror Story: Roanoke - Discussion Thread

I now predict that all events will be shown to be fake and that there will be a survivor-style reunion event sometime during the finale. also this is where a sequel as in roanoke 3 will be announced. I guess what I'm really saying is that it doesn't matter what happens because most of this season has been a dismal failure. Easily the worst of the series.

Re: American Horror Story: Roanoke - Discussion Thread

well i was partially right on the cast reunion. except it was the between time for roanokes one and two. but. i mean. the audience. it was an attempt at a parody audience but it really was only cardboard people from a cardboard script. the whole episode was cheesy.

starting over: since this season was really about Lee then make Lee the lead in terms of screen time and story content. that would have been fine by me as the actress who played Lee---plus the actress and actor who played the real Shelby and the real Matt---were by far the best elements of these 10 long episodes. all this would involve a serious rewrite which would be entirely justified.

that fake ghosthunters or whatever the ------------ it's called made me want to hire Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega to talk about foot massages and then do some serious mayhem while reciting a certain biblical passage. that would have been a fit ending. and if the ghosts and the pigman wanted to watch: all very good.

what a horrible piece of crap this all was. ryan murphy should be ashamed.

I was very disappointed in the ending. And I vote they go back and rewrite as well.

Re: American Horror Story: Roanoke - Discussion Thread

Gosh reading all your comments, this sounds like such a bunch of <snip>chit and mish mash of writing. Was it supposed to be a story within a story within a story?
Like, you know, having something bad happen then waking up and realizing it is a dream, then waking from that dream of a dream?

All that sounds so lazy on the writers part like they ran out of time for a good story.
Hopefully this hiatus of a season will inspire them to write a better one next time.

Thanks for letting me, an unwatcher, chime in now and then. You all gave me good descriptions.
