In the end...

Locke really was kind of a dick.

Rewatching the show over ten years later. I'm so happy this place still exists.

Re: In the end...

Yeah, they had no idea how to continue his character once JJ and all the decent writers left the series towards the end of season 3. They winged it after that and ruined just about every aspect of Locke...

Re: In the end...

It's so weird going back and watching it now from the start, it's a different experience. In stark contrast to the original watch, this time I was relieved when Boone died, have far more respect for Kate this time around, and wonder why Jack didn't tell everyone to bugger off sooner. (They really expected a lot from the guy right off the bat, oh my!)

Re: In the end...

Yeah, Kate was awesome and Locke was mostly a shit stain. Couldn't agree more with those thoughts. I'll admit Locke had some good moments, but even his most redemptive moment turned out to be a nightmare for everybody else.

Re: In the end...

Episode for episode, Lost wasn't all that great. While there are some that were absolutely terrific, there aren't enough of them for me to care about watching 6 seasons of them a second time.

I do hope you enjoy yourself though, and please be vocal about anything new you manage to solve.
