Been a Trekkie since I can remember.

This one looks great.

I've been a fan of Michelle Yeoh since Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Not seeing or feeling a lot of hype for this series. I think part of it has to be the fact that it is being used as a vehicle to get people to their streaming service. Brian Fuller leaving so early put a damper on my interest as did the ship and klingon designs.

I believe this show HAS to be much better than TNG rehashes like Voyager and Enterprise though. Berman and Braga drove the TV property into the ground.

FF, we'll have the discussion thread up in a day or two.

Until then, why don't we use this thread as a hype thread. I know I can barely wait.

Re: New Star Trek TV Series: Star Trek: Discovery

So they'll broadcast the first episode on CBS, then all subsequent episodes are shown on CBS All Access, a subscription service, unless you live outside of the US, then they'll broadcast it on Netflix? So we in the US have to fork out money for an additional service to watch basically one show?

So, second issue is how do you get CBS On-Access on your TV? My Smart-tv doesn't support it, my Cable company doesn't offer it. If I decide to fork out the extra money for the service, am I forced to watch it on my computer monitor? What the heck's going on? I'm going to look into some Android apps, but really, am I going to paying for that as well? This is nuts.

I wanted to watch, The Good Fight, last season, so I dished out the $ for the service.

I didn't know about the Netflix tie-in for members out of the Country.

By all means, keep us abreast, Mr. Bill.

like most network streaming services, it will behave perfectly and never lock up. oh and yes there will be commercials eventually i'm sure.

I heard that CBS All Access streaming caps out at 720p. Is this true? I was thinking of joining and porting it over to my TV via SlimPort. But If that's true, 720p is pretty dismal and not worth my time.
