Re: What's On TV Tonight?

Man, I loved Remington Steele.

The character was such a snappy dresser.

Re: What's On TV Tonight?

The White Princess, premieres this Sunday. It's the sequel to The White Queen, a 2013 BBC-produced miniseries.

This eight episode series sees England ostensibly united by the marriage of Elizabeth of York and Henry VII, but their individual and partisan rift runs deep, and the war that furies between them portends to tear the kingdom apart again.

Make sure and catch a glimpse of 15th Century England, Sunday, April 16, 2017, 8/7c, on Starz.

Re: What's On TV Tonight?

Today (April 21, 2017), Amazon makes available its well-received series, Bosch, season 3.

Not sure any of you have watched the previous two seasons, but this is a very well done police drama.

And, don't get me started on Titus Welliver. A very well known character actor who I'm sure you've seen in countless other series and movies.

Why don't you give this new season a look-see. If you like it, make sure and post in the thread above. I look forward to discussing it with you all.

Re: What's On TV Tonight?

Origins, the Journey of Mankind
hosted by Jason Silva
On Monday nights, though.

This is a most excellent series. A short synopsis of each episode so far in the 8 part mini series. The host is very good (not to mention cute) and enjoyably animated. Each episode is entertaining and informative.

1. Spark of Civilization
Harnessing fire is the ultimate origin event that made us modern. Fire allowed us to create, to destroy and to transform, but also taught us hard lessons.
2. Cheating Death
Microscopic armies have waged war on humanity for thousands of years. Medicine is our great weapon to fight back against invisible, unthinkable death.
3. Power of Money
From a simple act of trade to today's global economy, the meaning of money and what we value changes as civilization evolves.
4. The Writing On the Wall
If knowledge is power, communication is the jet fuel, the delivery system, the gift we give each other that links the modern world. But it has a dark side.
5. Progress of War
War brings out the best and worst in humanity. It has revolutionized medicine, transportation and communication, and changed how we live and how we think.
6. Building the Future
This is the story of how humans built a world of their own design. From bone huts to skyscrapers, shelter inspired new technologies and societies.
7. Into the Unknown
Exploration has created and defined our modern world. Humanity's primal curiosity has sparked new inventions and revealed the mysteries of the universe.

Re: What's On TV Tonight?

Starting tonight (05/19/17), and continuing through the weekend, Season 3 of the critically acclaimed series, 12 Monkeys airs.

That's the complete 3rd season:
  • Friday (05/19/17) - Episodes 1-4
  • Saturday (05/20/17 - Episodes 5, 6 & 7
  • Sunday (05/21/17) - Episodes 8, 9 , & 10 (season finale)

Heading to the series thread, you'll find a separator for the first 4 episodes. Before Saturday's premiere, I'll post a separator for the next 3 episodes. And, I'll do the same for Sunday's final 3 episodes.
