Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

This game totally uproots people's lives. It isn't fair (IMO) to purposely create fake drama by tribal breakdown. You want Cirie and Ozzy on the same season again? Ok, RNG it and see what happens. Why should Sandra get shielded by having former winners on her tribe, and Cirie has nobody?

I mean, she approached all those players and they all basically said "lol no" to working with her. Why uproot her life to play again, if you can't get a fair shake? Five minutes out and Ozzy already wants her gone.

Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

We went through this same cycle the last time Cirie played. If I am not sorely mistaken you said the same things back then about how the show wasn't giving her a fair shake, as if she deserved an automatic set up to the finale...because.. ya know.. she's Cirie!

Plus you talk as if Survivor tracked her down in order to ruin her life. She came willingly again... to play a game on TV. If it wasn't for this show not a single one of us would even know what a Cirie Fields was and she would still be sitting on her couch eating Ring-Dings.

I have zero sympathy about how she is being so poorly treated by being placed with Ozzy. In fact, I can't and won't even acknowledge she is receiving some sort of unfair treatment. Plus it is more than fair to point out that she is responsible for the baggage she brought with her from prior seasons.

Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

well yeah obviously, NO one is forced back into these competitions...so any whining about the situations they are put into is moot. they made deals with producer devils out for ratings, so they get what they get....i can't imagine any competitors aren't savvy enough to recog that basic fact, tho sure maybe they'll play it up to the cams that way for sympathy and encouragement. if i was coming back again after a previous season, I'd assume the prods were working me in a way, as this is not a show to promote the harmony of goodness on the planet for some greater good noble effort. they rely on the basic tenant we are all competitors, and our morale structure at times gets sacrificed to feeding the win for one's self. Baggage is in fair play, as is current social mindsets, age old prejudices, and darn it good old fashioned relying on one's biological gut feelings on superficial interactions with other dopey humans.

Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

Well what else is funny about complaining about Cirie's position is this:

Matt himself mentioned that she was shot down by EVERYONE... not just Ozzie.

Quote:
I mean, she approached all those players and they all basically said "lol no" to working with her. Why uproot her life to play again, if you can't get a fair shake?
So I suppose the only "fair" thing to do regarding Cirie is to put her on a tribe by herself and go ahead and pencil her in for the finale. I mean it's the only way she can get her "fair shake".

Then there is this comment:

Quote:
Why should Sandra get shielded by having former winners on her tribe, and Cirie has nobody?
Sandra had one previous winner on her tribe. ONE - Tony

Cirie had one previous winner on her tribe. ONE - JT.

My son was a bit worried, and he doesn't even watch the show.

Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

Mana
Caleb, Debbie, Hali, Brad, Sierra, Tai

Nuku
Aubrey, J.T., Jeff, Malcom, Michaela, Sandra

Tavua
Andrea, Cirie, Ozzy, Sarah, Troyzan, Zeke

I won't miss Caleb, and I hope Tai goes next. Troyzan found an idol clue, and grabbed the idol at the end of the immunity challenge, without anyone noticing, although he did seem a bit obvious. That's going to be a game changer.

Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

lol agreed, i had my hand totally on the mouse....if i saw even a moment toward goat upset, i was ready to bail. i know circle of life and where hamburger from the groc store comes from, however I will not watch it willingly. tho toss your team under the bus, I'm completely there (mind you I wouldn't tolerate knowingly hurting a teammate, eh probably draw the line at tripping someone, but beyond that, NO.) i don't think less of Sandra, she's practical - i just do not need to see some things.

Tai, you are a conniver, tho you totally play up the innocent guy. i like that deviousness, i do not have that poker face unfortunately.

Troyzan - you are very lucky sir, and while I think finding the imm idol will extend your time, it will not change your ending.

GAH sick of the over-under up and over up down challenges....get creative puzzle teams crew. The obstacle course challenges get old so quickly. The ring toss concept was a good one, as anyone can toss a ring so it evens the playing field. Tired of the 'balance on this board as long as you can' ideas. Amazing Race does memory challenges which is interesting, toss a few of those in there.

Being a res of Colorado where substances are legal, toss in weed as one of the reward challenges, I'd love to sit in on survivor conversations where teams are abs stoned out of their gourds and tossing strategy ideas around or submitting their delusional paranoias about other team members.

Re: Survivor 34: Game Changers

I have a question. Troyzan picked up an idol last night. Wasn't there a "legacy idol" from the first episode? And then do we have to suppose that each tribe has access to an idol, so that there are probably at least two more potential idols floating out there? Has this many idols become a regular thing since I have stopped watching?
