So Soup, are we talking about multiple personalities? The kind where each personality is unaware of the other?

Not sure. I think Slater might be his Tyler Durden. I think the others in the group are real.

The scene where Elliott goes to the heroin house and the kid interacts with Slater made me question it, but then we found out:

Spoiler: spoilerish
it was a withdrawal hallucination

Re: Mr. Robot (USA)

We know he's dealing with a lot of personality quirks.

What do you make of the so-called people following him?

We know the Evil corp guy is real, as are his henchmen, I think.

The other guys he yelled at? I'm assuming they are real too.

The push off the ledge was odd. The girl never mentions Slater's character to him, just checks on him.

Re: Mr. Robot (USA)

I think it's becoming increasingly clear that Mr Robot is a fiction of Elliot's, especially given the nods to Fight Club in the series premiere.

I'm reminded of the movie "Identity" with John Cusack.

.
If you mean the pedestrians who were approaching Elliot from different sides, I think they were real. But I think they were just pedestrians -- not anybody watching or following Elliot.

I'm thinking Mr. Robot represents Elliot's deceased father. And if Mr Robot is a fiction of Elliot's mind, then anyone Mr Robot has inter-acted with is also a fiction of Elliot's mind -- eta: perhaps Elliot himself is as well.

What about the people at the amusement parK? I can't remember if Mr. Robot talked to any of them, but if your theory is correct, then Elliot is getting everyone together to bring down the establishment, right?

I would say that's a fair statement. Elliot wants to bring down Evil Corp but he struggles against it. Perhaps he is bringing forward others to push himself into doing it?

Then again -- it could all be real. lol

Re: Mr. Robot (USA)

I was thinking that Mr Robot might be, instead of a Tyler Durden-esque manifestation of Eliot's personality, some kind of "hack" into Eliot's brain. Either by himself, or by an outside agent. Still formulating a more involved theory, waiting to see if anything else fits. I have Monday off, probably going to rewatch the first four eps.

Re: Mr. Robot (USA)

Camelsmoker, from the first episode I got this feeling Mr. Robot was a figment of his imaginzation, especially the people supposedly following him. I truly like the idea, his alter ego is putting everyone in motion to bring down Evil Corp.
