Re: Star Trek: Discovery - CBS/All Access Sunday

This could turn out to be the best star trek series ever.

It's certainly better than Voyager and Enterprise and it feels a lot more mature and less naive about human nature than Roddenberry's vision. This show is really the anti-Roddenberry Trek, which is an odd choice considering they really need it to appeal to a wide range of people.

I don't like the way the klingon's speak with all of those prosthetics though. They can't really emote very well at all.

I'm not a fan of the lead actress though. She never impressed me in TWD and she's not much better here thanks to being made into a human trying to be a Vulcan.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery - CBS/All Access Sunday

I found this latest episode to be fantastic.

I even loved what's going on with the Klingons. This is going to be very interesting as the series continues.

Still trying to understand what's happening with the alien and the spoors. When it was connected to the drive mechanism, it seemed to be hurting, yet is needs the spoors to survive.

I wouldn't put it past him.

Its really an excellent series, Mr Mr.

As I've mentioned in several posts, the CGI is breathtaking. I maybe the only one, but I love the main character, Michael Burnham.

It was so touching to see her previous Capt. leave her something special in her Will.

I want to touch on something from my first post for this episode. That's the Klingons.

I'm trying to remember to two female Klingons from the TNG series. Their names are right on the tip of my tongue.

Anyway, the female attached to the "white" Klingon is smart as a whip. She knows she'll go as far as he'll take her. I'm truly interested in her motives and what she's willing to do to get them.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery - CBS/All Access Sunday

This series is getting better and better with every episode.

In this latest episode, Capt. Lorca is captured and tortured by the Klingon's.

We get to meet the new Harry Mudd. If you remember from Star Trek, he was a character with a dubious occupation.

Lt. Saru is put in command of Discovery, and he butt heads with Burnham.

Burnham also discovers the problem with putting the Tategrade with the new propulsion system.
