Huge LOST fan. Even though I don't believe in God my faith never wavered from this amazing show. It has resonated with me for years, and am currently writing a huge few thousand page script for a Lost Trilogy movie. I hope to have it finished in 8 years for a movie in 2020. I still need help designing a new Lost tattoo!

Re: Did Jack save the world when he plugged The Island back in?

Well this is one of those excellent threads filled with great insight by a variety of posters.

On one hand we're asked to believe what the show is telling us. That being the characters toil in a world where their actions have consequence.

Yet, we're not sure exactly what that consequence is, because we've also been told that many of the forces within this world are unreliable, if not downright manipulative.

Seeming versus being. And I'm not sure which is which.

So the question begs me for a leap of faith. Something I willfully choose to agree with, despite not having sufficient data to come to a completely rational conclusion.

Fortunately, like all people, I'm not a completely rational person. In fact, I am often, if not always, driven by my emotions.

So that leads me to believe that Jack saved the world. And that might just boil down to the fact that I like Jack and I'm comfortable with him being our show's savior.

At the very least, I am comfortable letting Jack think he saved the world.
