Re: this or that

She's not a one-trick pony lyrically. I picked that song because it shows off a lot of her different voices, not necessarily because it's one of their best songs.

gift cards make great gifts both for shoppers who are lazy and/or have a lot of gifts to buy. They're also a shrewd choice if there are individuals in your life for whom it is difficult to shop. When bought through the astore, they also help support this site, which isn't self-sufficient and doesn't hold fund-raisers or any of that other crap.

Please consider doing at least some of your holiday shopping through our astore this year.

Re: this or that

Here's a much nicer and prettier song that shows off even more of her voices.

Re: this or that

Romantics- Talking in your Sleep, or the Knack - Sharona

better classic party song

Re: this or that

I'd take What I Like About You, too. But Talking is the best of the three.

It complicates things that you mention party atmosphere. I think it depends on the party. The Knack were no slacks.

________

Ok, better tragic music and video from Social D, the fairly recent Machine Gun Blues, or the practically ancient but time-tested Story Of My Life?

Re: this or that

I so love the 80s for that guitar reason....it's always a nice simple riff, simple vocals, a usually cool bass line, and not complicated drums (ie anyone can karaoke it). that's my head daily. well take that back, I do like the Fixx at times, and they are not really straight forward guitar or vocal wise.

nice choices on the social distortion Mo

Re: this or that

Thanks. Machine Gun Blues was released in 2011. I really only love two greaser bands, the other one you probably never heard of, Rocky Velvet, though their bass player Graham, has a famous dad - best known as Commander Cody...

One shouldn't forget the Lost Planet Airmen, a very solid backing band.
