Hmmm. Can't help with the washer.

I just have to say - even Norris (pop. 1,400) has a laundromat.

Closest thing we have in this town is a dry cleaners where you can drop it off to be washed and dried and folded. I'm not paying for that.
.... So literally EVERYONE in your town has their own washer and dryer?

Where the f do you LIVE?

Well you must remember she is always talking about having lunch in Hyannisport and things like that.

Massachusetts. On the Cape which has water issues. On the Outer Cape there are at least four towns without laundromats.

That's very, very practical advise.

OMG he's right. I googled it but it didn't show up.

Apparently the laundromat here is next to the strip club We do, of course, have that. What quaint tourist town doesn't?

And I'm not going anywhere near that little strip mall. I'll drive to Hyannis if I have to.

There are certainly a few laundromats in neighboring towns, which aren't that far away, I could get there in 30 min. in summer traffic probably. But I think everyone here knows how I feel about driving and how it feels about me

That's what I've always done if needed. So far my small loads idea is working, and the water level adjusts to the load. And I'm going to try Warty's idea after this load.

I'm serious when I say this. After surgery, I needed 2-3 people to lift me out of bed, walk me to the bathroom, plop me on the toilet, lift me up and get me back in bed. This was after the bed pan days. Ouch and ouch and SCREAM! That was my first week.

First day of rehab, oh, god. I cannot describe it. They forced me to do things I thought were absolutely impossible. Of course I had lots of help, but I was like a rag doll. Move me here, move me there. I somehow started to be able to do some things by myself, but man was it tough. The pain was sky high. And, I've had lots and lots of physically painful experiences, but this was indescribable. I so sympathize with anyone that has such horrible pain. (hi, Frecks)

My therapists were tough, sometimes grouchy. They had compassion, but they forced, yes, forced me to do this and that. I hate being a failure, so I struggled and struggled to accomplish the most minor things people take for granted. Yes, they were tough on me - end result, I was a STAR! I rapidly improved beyond anyone's expectations, and what the doctor said still floors me. I don't know how it happened. But I worked seriously hard.

Of course I'm not out of the woods yet, but I got an early release. Home rehab for the foreseeable future.

Thank heavens for professions like LV's. I'd still be bedridden if not for them.

So, during the noon news, they showed some snips from the zoo during the eclipse. That would've been a great place to have been! A lot of animals headed for their shelter, but the monkeys! What a hoot! They just sat there, eating whatever they were eating, and looked around like "What's wrong with you! This is no big deal!"

I loved the looks on their faces. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
So glad you're improving beyond expectations! An older woman who comes to my classes at the gym broke her hip last summer. She was devastated. She worked so hard and is now back in my class, doing step aerobics! Keep a positive attitude and know that your work will pay off.

Regarding pets, I saw not ONE but 2 moms share text messages from kids urgently instructing them to make sure the pets were inside or they'd go blind.

My pets were all out with us watching and didn't do a thing unusual, including staring at the sun. But I can imagine a total eclipse is a different thing.

I don't understand how that place didn't show up in my search.

And regarding the strip club it's next to, those other multiple laundromat townspeople have to come HERE for that. I think it's the only one on the Upper Cape.

Also, it's for sale. Overlooks a pretty lake.

Warty found one here. It's in a sort of seedy area though.

We do have lots of time shares here...I wonder if each unit has a washer or if there's one in a central place? Maybe I could sneak in if necessary lol.

You can't start putting qualifiers on it at this point.

I said there was a laundromat... there is a laundromat.

The fact that I knew where one was and the fact that it is next to strip club is purely coincidental.
