Sesame Street: looking for writers.

Sesame Street is looking for diverse writers for an internship this summer in NYC.

Welcome to the Neighborhood!
Sesame Street Writers’ Room is a brand new fellowship opportunity from the creators of Sesame Street. And we are looking for YOU! Fresh new writing talent from underrepresented racial backgrounds. As a company that advocates diversity, we recognize the importance of representation both on and off-screen, so that children of all backgrounds can see themselves in the content they consume. Emerging storytellers who are selected to join the Writers’ Room fellowship will receive hands-on writing experience guided by Sesame Street veterans and other media industry leaders. Applications will be accepted from March 1 to March 31, 2017.

As always: do your own research.

Freelance content editors: Carina Press is looking for you

I have mentioned Carina Press here before, but, as always, you may want to do some research.

Either way, Angela James (Editorial Director), has put the call twice in less than a month, and perhaps there are some MyMedia editors who could benefit from it.
"We are looking to expand our pool of freelance content/developmental editors. We’re in search of editors who are interested in the adult fiction genres we publish and have the marketing and editorial understanding of what is selling in the romance markets and what romance readers are looking for. Candidates must have previous paid editorial experience."

Go here to read the requirements.

Recommended by author Myke Cole (his website). As always, do your own research, but it looks like a great opportunity.

Good luck.

Avon is looking for a publicist

Avon is an imprint of HarperColins. Avon is one of the oldest genre-romance focused imprints in the US, and I believe it's only second in this continent to Harlequin/Silhouette/Mills&Boon.

Go here to find out more.

Good luck!
