You did. I didn't expect this, but damn they were the one thing that brought tears to my eyes. I usually avoid any show that makes me cry, but this was so sweet and unexpected.

Madonna, she's a baddy in a way, hopefully we'll get to learn more about her. Who said they knew what she did to get money for the restaurant to her? Was it Olivia? Think back, who said that and did she do it with Olivia's dad? Did he pay her for watching his little girl.
Olivia's back story is sad.

I also expected one or several of the demons who inhabited Manfred's body to remain. And, I guess it's still possible.

But remember when he got up the next morning and went to the bathroom. He got some pills out of the medicine cabinet and closed the door. That's when I expected to see one of the demons looking back at him.

So, who does everyone think is behind the renovation of the hotel? Is the woman we met just the "front woman" for some corporation, or is she something else? Something demonic?

I truly hope they bring this back next season. I'll keep everyone in the thread apprised if I hear anything.
Well Kokonar is .... um horny.
What Fiji and Bobo did, this was the obvious solution right from the get go then it ends up they didn't need to after all.

Yes, I did expect Manfred to have some lingers.

The woman who is the frontman to the hotel rebuilding, this is going to be an excellent story and is open to a lot of different directions to take. However I warn you something I learned long ago and from Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman (remember that show staring Jane Seymour?)
You can't stop progress.

I don't remember. Was it in the Pilot episode?

I do suspect she's being paid to watch over Olivia. We may not know Midnight's population, but we know it's not large. I would venture to say, anyone running a business would need help paying the bills.

Then, when he realized what she'd done, "Fiji, what have you done."

Maybe that took away some of his concentration, because right after that Manfred got the best of him.

I don't know what you're talking about here. Can you please remind me of that scene. I know it happened by can't remember the sequence of it at all.

Re-reading, was it Kokonar that said all this?

Right you are!

IIRC, wasn't he and Manfred fighting when Kolnonar realized what Fiji had done?

Re: Midnight, Texas NBC Monday

We’re behind on this (bogged down in Vietnam…) so I can’t read what’s posted beyond “Angel Heart.” And by now, post-finale, you’ve probably all moved on.

Mr. Bill, thanks for the info that they weren’t just burning off episodes.

Hodge and 9MM, I heard “ancient” as well. If it helps, in the movie Far Away, So Close, the angel hunter (the Willem Dafoe character) is referred to, in the subtitles, as a Dark Rider. But that could be just for the Wenders-universe, where falling in love (with a non-demonic aerialist) isn’t punished. As to romance between Joe and his “mentor and friend,” we don’t know what angels are allowed/built to do in the Midnight-verse.

I agree that they dispatched Bowie (as in the Alamo? This is Texas, after all. Or as in David?) too quickly.
